Xiden's POV

This isn't how it's supposed to go.

She's upset with me.

I knew that I shouldn't have kept this from her but I thought that I was doing the right thing.

She was getting to know everyone and getting comfortable here and I didn't want to ruin that for her.

But I did.

All it took was one look into her beautiful brown orbs and I was a goner. Just one look into her eyes and I told her everything.

Sitting in my office with a lit cigar and the mocking box in front of me I can't help but to be angry.

This was what he wanted.

He thought that he was the king of this pointless game just because he had information on my woman that he can use against her.

What a joke.

Taking a long drag of my cigar I hold it in for a while before releasing it, watching the smoke move aimlessly before my eyes.

I kick my feet on top of the oak desk, leaning back in my chair as I take numerous drags of the cigar, watching the smoke dancing before my eyes before it disappears.

The phone rings and I let it ring as I swim in my thoughts pointlessly as my mind is in a turmoil with the current situation.

"Hello?" I speak into the phone as I put out the bud of the cigar and taking up another. "Boss, it's me."

I take down my feet, rolling up the chair directly behind the desk, a sinister smirk on my lips. "Ah, it's you. Your early with your report," I said as I nip the tip of the cigar before lighting it, taking a long drag.

"We got a problem. They are looking to make a drop on one of our shipments, I don't know where the information came from but from what I am hearing it is pretty accurate." He whispers in the phone. I lean back in the chair closing my eyes, my teeth grinding as I pinch the bridge of my nose with my beast roaring.

"What. The. Fuck. Are you talking about boy; are you suggesting that I have a mole in my fucking empire?" I breathe deadly calm down the phone.

I could hear him gulping, "I- uh- uhm, yes?" He answers unsure. "It has to be someone who knows the shipping schedule, the layout of the place and the amount of guards needed." He says then pauses, "They are well prepared and it seems that he knows the ins and outs without any major damages being done to his men, not like he cares."

"You've given me a lot to think about. Keep your ears open, and don't get caught, understood?" I ask firmly. The kid is young but he's doing a brave task.

I can hear the smile in his voice with his reply, "Understood, boss." Then the line went silent.

Placing the phone on the desktop, I was about to get up from my chair when my office door is slammed opened by an angry Salvestro. He slam the door behind him, an angry look in his eyes. Within three long strides he was in front of my desk, his palm slamming down on the hard oak. "What the hell have you done you prick?" He yells in my face.

"Fucking answer me!" He continues when I didn't answer him. "Why is my daughter locked in the library crying? What did you do?"

"What makes you think that it was me?" I ask calmly but my heart gave a painful tug. I was hurt knowing that I made her cry, again.
