Subject 19 sat in her cage humming. She then resorted to quietly singing. "Twinkle twinkle little bat, how I wonder where you're at. Up above the world so high, like a tea-
BOOM
The girl stood up and went to the edge of her cell. She gripped the bars in her pale, skinny hands and looked towards the ceiling.
Seemed like something big was happening upstairs. She went back to her cot on the floor, and resumed her song. "Like a tea-tray in the sky. Twinkle twinkle little bat, how I wonder where you're at."
"I believe that that is not necessary. Now get up." The girl looked up to see Strucker. A man she hated with a burning passion, and she was gonna let him know it.
"Mr. Strooker Sir!" The teen then jumped to her feet and saluted. Her green eyes held mischief. How this girl could even still have emotion in her eyes was beyond Strucker.
"We do not have time for your childish antics, the avengers are here. They are trying to retrieve the scepter. I am going to send you with two other enhances to stop them. Do you think you can handle it?" Her eyes drifted towards the ceiling and they were calculating.
"And what's in it for me," the girl asked. Strucker hesitated. He didn't want to lose one of his most powerful assassin's. She was up there in ranks with the Winter Soldier.
"A new room."
The corner of her mouth twitched upwards, a movement so discreet, that you would have to have been watching very closely to notice it.
"We have a deal."
Strucker unlocked the cage and she got up and slowly walked out. He handed her some clothes and told her that she had three minutes.
She looked at the clothes. Black jeans, black long sleeve, and some combat boots. She turned to the guards. The guards had their backs to her, so she quickly stripped out of the itchy hospital gown that she always wore, and into the new clothing.
She finished lacing up her boot when Strucker returned. He unlocked her cage, and the girl stepped out cautiously, she was gripping her wrist in a vice, where a silver bracelet was blinking.
Strucker grabbed her wrist and unlocked the bracelet with a key. The girl slowly exhaled, and stared at the red mark on her pale wrist.
Strucker stared at her intensely. "They're right outside our walls in the forest."
The girl nodded and disappeared in a small white flash. One of the guards looked at Strucker.
"Sir, if she can teleport, then what if she leaves?"
Strucker smirked. "If she leaves, she won't get far. It won't be very hard to find her, with that little problem of hers."
It got silent, and then Strucker began to laugh and walk out of the room. The guard chuckled nervously with him.
Subject 19 P.O.V
I teleported right outside of the battle and stared in awe. I hadn't been outside in years, and it was cold. There was a white blanket of snow on the ground. I tried to racket through my memories, but there was nothing. Only on what snow was.
I shrugged and started walking forward. A little ways off I could hear bullets firing and yelling. I looked at the trees nervously. Strucker could be watching. I quickened my stride, only to be knocked down by a blue blur.
I landed on my back and I felt all of my breath leave my body. The blur returned out of the corner of my eye and propped me up. "Are you okay," it asked. I took a deep breath and focused my eyes on the blur in front of me.
I inhaled sharply. He was handsome. He had silver hair with brown roots. His features were sharp and his blue eyes intense. "Are you okay," he repeated. I nodded.
He stood and helped me up. He held out his hand. "I'm Pietro." I shook his hand.
"I'm subject 19." He furrowed his eyebrows.
"You don't have a name?" His sokovian accent was strong.
I shook my head, silently telling him I didn't.
He tilted his head to the side like a puppy. "Why don't you give yourself one?"
I mulled it over. What name?
I smiled at him. "You can call me Kyra." I don't why, but it just sounds right.
"Nice meeting you. Kyra."
I nodded. He ran off in a blue blur and I jumped in the air teleporting.
I came behind a man in a blue suit, with stars on it. I recognized him as Captain America.
He turned and stared at me with wide eyes.
He pressed a thing on his ear. "We have an enhanced in the field, no older than fifteen by the looks of it." He dropped his hand from his ear and raised his shield "Listen," he began, "I know that they may have told you bad things about us, but we are here to help. You don't have to fight. You can come with us."
I launched myself at him, with my fists raised and he quickly put up his shield to stop me. I stepped off the shield being launched into the air, and flipped into a fighting stance.
"Listen," he said. "Think this through, we can get you out of here."
I looked towards the trees once more. My heart was thumping in my chest.
"Can you really get me out of here?" I asked quietly.
He lowered his shield and stared at me in surprise. "What?"
"I...I don't wanna stay here." I looked around, expecting someone to come out and grab me, and I rubbed my wrist, waiting to be shocked.
"Oh, well um..okay. Let's get you away form here and into the quin-jet." I exhaled, and shuffled a little bit closer to him. My blood was roaring in my veins, and I could feel anxiety building up in my stomach.
The Captain starting running into the trees, away from the fight. I ran after him, desperate to not be left behind. He was fast, and it took everything in me to keep up.
He finally stopped in front of a grey pod with wings. I leaned on my knees, trying to catch my breath.
"Stay here until the fight is over and please don't touch anything. I have a feeling that you don't have your license yet." He told me with a small smile, but then it slipped off his face. In a very serious voice I heard him say, "Language."
I looked up at him. "Did you just tell somebody to watch their Language?"
He looked a little sheepish as he rubbed the back of his neck. "Sorry, it just slipped out."
I nodded and he dropped the shy boy look and become the Captain again. "Stay safe," he told me.
And then he ran back towards the battle.
I looked towards the jet, and went inside the open door. I went to the front of the ship, and then I noticed weapons on the wall. I grabbed a knife, and huddled behind the captains' chair and under the console.
I prayed that no HYRDA agents would come look inside the jet and find me.
