I walk into the kitchen and hear the door knob "I'll get it!" I yell to my dad who's in the other room watching some football shit
I open the door and Tyler and Ashley walk in "Hey El" Ashley hugs me "Hey babe" Tyler smiles as I kiss him "Hey handsome" I smirk "I'm gonna barf" Ashley groans as she walks into the kitchen "Any food?" "When am I never out of food?" I ask "Yes!" Ashley cheers as my dad walks in "Y'know Ashley you should eat at your house before coming here" Dad says as Ashley shakes her head "Mr Hart, that's not gonna happen" she says as she comes to the couch with a tray of cookies which we eat obviously "You guys have the best food" Dad laughs "So what y'all kids doing today?" "Don't know" I shrug "Hey wanna go to Garden State Plaza?" Tyler asks "Sure, but can we stop at QuickCheck on the way? I'm dying for a milkshake" Ashley says as I laugh "Bye Dad" I say "Bye sweetie" he says as me and my friends head outside
Time skip.........
We walk to QuickCheck "Fuck yes!" Ashley exclaims "I'm getting a Chocolate Milkshake" she says I roll my eyes "You get that all the time" "I know that Elizabeth. I just want to stick to what I order" as she walks up to the counter to order "Who's Elizabeth?" Tyler asks "Oh, Elizabeth's my real name. Ellie's just a nickname my mom gave me, and I've went by Ellie ever since" I tell him as Ashley walks back to us "You never told me what happened to your mom" Tyler says as I look at Ashley and she looks at me and hugs me "Uh.... She left when I was 2. My dad told me that she went behind his back and had sex with some other dude" I start to cry "Oh my god Ellie..." Tyler hugs me "Do you know where she is now?" "No" I sniffle "Come on let's go" Ashley says as we all leave

We drive to the Plaza "It's closed" Tyler says as he reads the sign "Shit... It's fucking freezing out here" Ashley says as she hugs both of us to keep warm and I laugh "What do we do?" I ask "I-" Tyler says as he sees a woman "Wait!" As he runs to the lady "Do you work here?" Tyler asks "Yes I do. But we're closed" the lady says "But... Can you at least let us in? It's freezing" I say "I wish I could but I can't. I'll get fired" I nod "But Ma'am we're just 3 cold kids, don't you have any kids that are cold?" Ashley asks "What?" Tyler and I ask "What? No... I mean yes I do. But I haven't seen her in a while" I frown "Do you know who your daughter is?" I ask "Her name's Elizabeth Grace Hart" The lady says "Oh my god" We all say in unison "What's wrong?" The lady asks as I start walking up to her "I'm Ellie Hart and I'm your daughter" I say

"You're my daughter?" The lady asks I nod "It's me Mom" I smile as I hug her "Who are your friends?" Mom asks "Mom, this Ashley and Tyler" "Nice to meet you kids" She hugs them "How's life?" She asks me "Pretty good. Senior year, almost 18, great friends" I say "How about you?" "I'm good. Have a wonderful husband" Mom says I smile "How's your father?" "He's good" I say "Uh... Hate to interrupt this reunion over here, but can you please let us in?" Tyler asks "You know what how about we go to the mall? My treat" Mom says "Sure" Ashley says as we head to Mom's car
Time skip......
After the mall we start to head back home "So...do you go to school around here?" Mom asks "Yeah Warren Hills High" I say "Hey guys wanna walk around after this?" Tyler asks "Sure" Ashley says "Yeah Ty, sounds fun" I say "So how long have you two been friends with Ellie?" Mom asks "Well... El and I have been friends since we were 5. And we met Tyler this year, and they started dating" Ashley says "Wait.. Ellie you and Tyler are dating?" Mom asks "Yeah we are" I say as I laugh nervously "Don't worry I'm fine
with it" Mom laughs as we pull up to my house
And we get out of the car
