Description:

The Revered Master, Yu Yan, known as the number one in the cultivation world, waited for sixteen thousand years, and finally took in a disciple. He taught her carefully and took care of her diligently. He watched her as she slowly grew stronger as she comprehended the laws, and just as she was about to soar into prominence... she died!

Hence, he once again took in another disciple, carefully taught her, diligently took care of her, and then... she died again!

Thus, he took in another disciple, and not long after... she still died!

(Why do I always get picked up by the same person every time I reincarnate? Haaaa...)

This is one of my top favorites. If I ever lost my memories and could only choose to remember three C-novels, this one would be one of them. You can't miss it.

My Disciple is a parody of all these transmigration and reincarnation tropes in one, but it's still a story in itself and a really creative one at that. The main character, Zhu Yao, dies and reincarnates with a new avatar over and over again while she tries to fix the 'bugs' of this universe, the glitches that make it endangered. Each avatar is unique, and don't think that there is anything she can't be. Because she's been a lot of things.

There is so much humor left and right, you'll almost die of laughter. It makes fun of all the tropes in this genre and you'll see some of them in a new light.

And we can't forget about the romance. It's surprising, but not unwelcome at all. I love the Male Lead and I don't think there could have been anyone better for Zhu Yao. She's really smart but stupid at times (but in a funny way), and he makes up for it, but he also lacks common sense which she has to fill in for him. Literally, when they got sexy for the first time, she had to teach him how to do everything because he didn't even know such a thing existed (he's pretty much been living on top of a mountain his whole life).

One of my top recommendations. You can't pass this book at all.
