This is BL, if we're talking about ships. The author has stated that it's not because the focus of the story isn't all on the romance between the main guy and his love. So if you're not comfortable with bxb as the main romance, then you might want to skip this.

If you don't mind it though, I'd definitely say go for this. It started off as just a reverse imperial harem story, but 83 chapters in, and I can say that it's so much more. There are so many dark plot twists that make you shook, the villains have deep, tragic backgrounds that make you sympathize with them for a moment, and it also draws out the raging feminist in you.

As you might be able to guess, the setting is in a place that's female-dominated. But as compared to the other female-dominated/ polyandry C-novels I've read, this comic is unique in that it has a solid plot and a twist to it; all the visuals only further it as a bonus.

The guys in this story look quite feminine and very different from the ones we're used to seeing, but they don't look any less gorgeous than female concubines in real history (prepare for some major eye candy) and their struggle isn't any less either. The women in the story are quite powerful and badass. The Empress is so mysterious, and there's something very shocking about her appearance.

Here is one panel of the new male concubines:
