Description

Would you like to play a game?

The rules are simple... you just have to get someone to fall in love you, devote himself to you, and care for you until the end of his days.

Think it's easy? Confident you'll win? Let's see how well you play the game.

This book is amazing! Nothing like any other Chinese novel I've read or recommended so far. It's not one of those Otome reverse harem novels either, because it doesn't have a harem and the MC is much more likable.

There are ten arcs, each with a story, setting, and Male Lead of their own. The MC has to make do with the situation and body she's given and try to seduce a Male Lead in that setting. If she succeeds, she gets money depending on how long the love and her own life lasted in that arc. If she fails, she has to give back the same amount of money she asked for in the beginning.

A couple of the arcs are in an ancient Chinese-setting, that's why this book is being recommended here. The rest are in a wide range of settings. There is a modern world, fantasy world, a post-apocalyptic world, and even an alternate modern universe.

The MC really is something. She's the perfect actress, able to play the game no matter where and what she is—Chinese noblewoman, school girl, businesswoman, DJ—she can play them all. She constantly surprises the readers and exceeds their expectations. Her face slapping is also on a higher level than your average Chinese revenge novel in that she's much more brilliant with them, and the situations aren't created just because she was too 'lazy' to explain something before.

The Male Lead of each arc is unique and likable. One of all the readers' favorite parts is how she manipulates them. Yes, manipulate. Had it been any other story or any other MC, the idea of it might have been appalling. But here, it's very amusing because we know that it's her task, and the way she does it all is very ingenious; you can't help but cheer her on.

So far, there are eight arcs out of the promised ten. If you like completed books, you probably won't mind reading this since each arc is like a mini-novel in a series with ten. The author also updates chapters quite frequently and in batches.

Highly recommended if you don't mind reading all kinds of genre romances.
