Sheesh, what a long description. But I'll tell you the main things you need to know. The story and MC aren't particularly unique or special amongst other XianXia novels, BUT this story is unique in that it's set in a country where women are more powerful than men, so gender roles are reversed. The ruler of the country is the Empress, and females are the heirs of their families.
Because the men are weaker than women here, most of the men somewhat act like weak damsels. But don't worry, there are strong men, too, and the damsels are also lovable. The princesses all have their own male concubines, and the original owner of the MC's body had some concubines, too, before she died. I feel bad for the MC, though, because every time she and the male concubine she likes (he's really sweet, by the way) try to consummate their marriage, someone or something always interrupts them right before they can do anything.
So if you're bored and looking for something different to read in the C-novel genre, I'd say this book is a good shot. But if you're looking for something with lemons, don't expect to get any anytime soon. You can blame the cock block for that.
