This is definitely one underrated novel and you can tell the author spent much time on this. It deserves much more love and attention this. If you guys have time, please give it a try. I doubt you'll regret it and I can definitely say you haven't read it somewhere else like with many translated novels.
There is no transmigration or reincarnation, but you can still expect palace intrigue and fights on the battlefield, and the MC isn't any less intelligent or powerful than if she had modern or past life knowledge, in face maybe even more. Aya is a fiery MC, and you can't help but cheer her on.
The Male Lead is a black belly, but not the shameless kind that falls for the MC at first sight and keeps pursuing her. He's just the right touch of romantic but not too persistent. He's not an ice cube that takes forever to melt either. Let's just say he's the cold, handsome, mysterious, and charismatic type that every once in a while spouts flowery words to the MC and makes the readers' hearts melt.
Go and give this book some love, guys. You won't regret it.
