I jumped from building to building, guilt pooling in my stomach the closer I got to the Eiffel Tower. I had decided to confess to Ladybug and tell her the mistake I made with Marinette. It was the least I could do for my bugaboo.

"Good afternoon kitty." Ladybug said as I landed on the tower beside her.

"Good evening, my lady." I said as I bowed and kissed her hand, feeling nothing emotionally as I did so. I looked at her gloved hand in surprise.

"What's wrong Chat?" She asked, pulling her hand from my limp ones. I felt tears spill down my cheeks in frustration.

"I thought this would be easier..." I breathed, standing up to look my lady in her beautiful bluebell eyes.

"What are you..." I cut her off by kissing her on her lips. Her lips we're just as soft, warm, and comforting as Marinette's.

"My lady, I'm in love with you. I have always been." I confessed as I pulled away. Her eyes widened in shock and pity?

"Chat I wish I could say that I loved you too, but I can't. I'm in love with someone else. He gave me hope for 'us' today, so I can't give up on him now when I'm so close." She said, pulling me in for a hug. I cried into her covered shoulder.

"No problem my lady, I understand. I also wanted to tell you that I can't stay for patrol, something came up in my personal life." I said, pulling away and wiping the fresh tears away.

"I understand Chat, please go be with your family, also try to cheer up, there must be another girl you have your eye on being so handsome and famous." She teased, trying to make me feel better to no avail.

"You're right my lady, I must go now, I'll see you on the marrow." I kissed her hand delicately and jumped back through Paris with a broken heart and confused brain.

I hadn't gone home, knowing that it would make me feel worse if I did. Instead, I found myself on Marinette's balcony, staring at the beautiful stars over the city.

"Chat Noir?" I heard a voice question. I turned around to see Marinette coming up from her trapdoor onto the balcony.

"Hello princess, how are you this beautiful evening?" I asked, hopping off the railing I was sitting on and walked over to her. She crossed her arms, looking me up and down before raising an eyebrow.

"Come on Chat, don't play dumb. I can tell you're upset." She said, grabbing my hand and sitting me on a chair that was by a table on the balcony itself.

"There's nothing wrong Mari." I said, realizing I unintentionally gave her a nickname.

"Yes there is, now I'm going to get us some drinks and some snacks, then you're going to spill the beans." She said poking my nose before turning around and climbing back down the trapdoor.

I sighed, Marinette swarming my head now, almost making me forget what just happened with Ladybug. She popped her head up a couple minutes later, giggling as she saw me jump slightly in my seat.

"Can you help me bring the plate and cups up?" She asked, a sweet smile on her beautiful face.

"Of course Princess." I said, getting up and helping her. Once we were done, I pulled her up from the trap door, holding her tightly as to not drop her.

"I could've gotten back up by myself." She said with a playful smile. I stuck my tongue out at her.

"A good knight helps his Princess up." I said, kissing her hand gently. She blushed, fanning herself playfully.
