~Adrien's POV~

Marinette.

Even her name sends shivers down my spine. She is beautiful, talented, courageous, sly, and just a down right amazing girl. I was the luckiest cat on Earth for getting her to be my girlfriend.

I was currently perched on her railing, waiting for her to come home from a girl day with Alya. I had to talk to her about us. I can't be with someone I can't be honest with, I was prepared to take the heat from lying to her about who I was. She would hate me for taking her virginity.

"Alya! That's amazing, I can't believe you two finally sealed the deal!" Marinette's voice squealed from below. She wore a Chat themed outfit, like she had since we got together. She said it was a way to show she was mine.

"Hey princess!" I called from my spot, waving like crazy with a dumb grin on my face. She giggled, telling Alya that their girl day would have to end there. Alya waved and yelled about protection.

Marinette was on the balcony in minutes, throwing herself onto me in excitement. I spun her around, loving the sound of her laughter.

"Marinette," I got serious before setting her down. "We need to talk princess." I opened her trapdoor and went into her room, helping her down from the balcony.

"Chat, what's wrong?" She asked with an adorable head tilt. I sighed, running my gloved hand through my hair.

"It's time I tell you who I am, and I know you're going to be mad." I said,  nervousness flowing through my veins. She shifted from foot to foot, twiddling her thumbs.

"Who are you?" She finally asked, her eyes staring at the floor below us. I pulled her in for a tight hug, letting tears fall from my eyes.

"Claws in." I said, feeling my suit evaporate. I couldn't breathe, anxiety taking over as I knew what was about to happen.

"I'm ready, you should be too." Marinette said, squeezing me closer to her. I sighed, pulling away and waiting for her to open her eyes. Her eyes fluttered open, the bluebells finally seeing the deception I had lead.

"Marinette, I'm so sorry." I said, my voice cracking as my eyes leaked. She shook her own head, disbelief and tears clouding her eyes. She slapped me, hard.

"How could you do this to me Adrien?! I trusted you, I gave you myself in hope to forget about the real you!" She yelled, hitting my chest with her closed fists. I sobbed harder, my body crumbling.

"I love you Marinette, please don't do this!" I yelled. She cried, pulling the brace I had gotten her off and throwing it on the ground. My heart shattered, realizing what she was saying.

"It's over Adrien, I can't be with someone who used me." She said, collapsing onto her bed as I transformed back and jumped away from her home, tears stinging my eyes.

I flew back through my window, feeling sadness take over as I collapsed onto my own bed. My mind was flooded with Marinette and Ladybug. I missed Marinette, and I still wanted ladybug.

"Adrien, your father would like to talk to you." Natalie called from the other side of my door. I sobbed harder into my pillow, knowing what was about to happen between my father and I.

"Tell him I'm not in the mood to deal with his bullshit!" I yelled, my voice slightly muffled by the pillow I had shoved my face into. Natalie opened the door.

"Adrien, your father wants you now." Natalie demanded, pulling the pillow from me. I looked at her, getting angry at her poker face.

I felt anger build up, my hand moving on its own. I slapped her across the face. Shocked filled her features.

"Get out of my room!" I yelled, pulling my pillow from her and shoving my face into it again. Natalie was quickly off, silent cries following her.

"ADRIEN!" I heard my father yell from deep in the mansion, anger evident in his voice. I stood, anger taking over any type of sadness I had.

I threw my father's doors open, letting them slam against the wall. My father stood in front of me, a furious look on his naturally stern face. I glared at him, balling my fists at my sides.

"You hit Natalie, you disgraced my name by hanging around a Baker's daughter, and you have the right to give me that look!" He yelled, walking over to me and slapping my face.

"WHY CAN'T YOU UNDERSTAND HOW I FEEL?! I've tried to be the perfect son, I've tried to make you proud! All you ever do is look at me with disappointment! Mom's probably estatic to be away from you!" I retorted, watching as he back away in surprise.

"Go to your room! You can forget about going to that school again as well!" He yelled, I rolled my eyes, not caring about school as Marinette had become my only reason to go. Now I had lost her.

I slammed my door, feeling the vibrations fly through my hand. I sank into my bed, feeling Plagg land on my back to rub comforting circles. I sighed, my thoughts running back to Marinette.

"Adrien, an akuma will show up if you don't calm down." Plagg said, his small voice barely cutting through my haze.

"Plagg, claws out." I said, feeling my suit cover my body while I jumped out of my window.

I sat on the Eiffel Tower, letting the sound of the city drown me. Paris was so beautiful, but it was submerged in monochrome to me. I could no longer see bright colors for what they were. Marinette took that with her love.

"Hey kitty." It was Ladybug, here for our nightly patrol I presumed. She sat down beside me, putting a gloved hand on my shoulder. I shook her off immediately.

"Ladybug, leave me alone." I said, feeling irritation take over. She looked at me hurt. I looked into the horizon, looking for hope of some kind.

"Chat look at me."  She said, putting her hand under my chin. I let her guide me, her hands gentle as she wiped the tears from my eyed. Then she started crying as well.

"Ladybug?" I said, voice holding confusion as I pulled her into me. Her arms wrapped around me while she cried into my neck. I felt a spark, something tiny but there. I pulled her chin up.

My lips met hers with no hesitation, both of us needing comfort and we were willing to sacrifice our partner ship to get everything our family and friends wouldn't understand. I drank her in, letting her take over my body in a way only Marinette had.

I couldn't tell her to stop, my voice not allowing me to udder a word in my defense. Ladybug took all of my pain and anger away, leaving me with no sorrow. Her soft lips wouldn't let me go, not that I could say I complained.

Ladybug had always been my lady.
