Hermione was walking down the corridor of the Hogwarts Express when a hand grabbed her arm and pulled her into an empty compartment. Instinctively, Hermione grabbed her wand from her robes and pointed it at her pursuer. A voice she recognized all too well spoke. "Now, now, I'm not going to hurt you Black."

"What do you want Riddle? Lucretia and Druella will be expecting me..." Hermione replied, lightly tapping her foot impatiently.

"I need you to track down a few things, where your job at Borgin and Burkes will become most useful." Riddle requested with a scheming glint in his eyes.

"What makes you think I'll help you? I barely know you." Hermione scoffed.

"You will find that I can be very persuasive Black. I will not take no as an answer." Hermione nearly rolled her eyes. "Why me? Why don't you go get a job there yourself? I don't want to partake in whatever dark magic you play with. It's not like I can work during the school term either."

"Black! Do. It." Hermione could see the slight red glint in his eyes as he threatened her.

"What's in it for me? And you haven't even told me what you're looking for! So how the hell am I supposed to find something if I don't know what it bloody is!" Hermione exclaimed.

"I can give you whatever you want Black. If you don't there will be a consequence."

"Fine. What are the objects?"

"I need you to find anything related to the school founders. I'm aware that each of them had an object of value. Slytherin's locket, Gryffindor's sword, Hufflepuff's cup and Ravenclaw's diadem. The sword and diadem are lost, but there have been reports of someone acquiring the locket and cup. You will locate these objects before the end of the next holidays. I will give you whatever you need after you have given me the location of the artifacts. I assure you I will not break my promise."

Hermione would agree to the deal now, but she would never actually do it. What was the point in getting a job at Borgin and Burkes if she was going to assist him in finding horcrux objects, rather than stalling him like she'd originally intended. "Of course, Tom." Hermione gave him a fake smile before striding out of the room to look for her friends.

This is pretty much a filler chapter. After next week my updates may be irregular and inconsistent. But thank you for reading anyway, and constructive criticism is welcome.
