It was a normal day, even a good day. Peter was at school in his science lesson, acing the surprise biology test, sat next to his best friend Ned who was....well, trying to do the test. "Dude, how can you even read this?? It's not English" Ned whispered once he glanced over to his mate, seeing that he had finished already; Peter chuckled quietly "well whatever language it is to you, I'm fluent at it". They both quietly laughed before looking down at their work once seeing that the teacher was shooting them a raised brow; then a smirk at seeing their reaction. Half way done, a knock was heard at the door of the room before it opened, revealing the head teacher "hello Mrs Jones, may I borrow Mr Parker??" he asked as all eye turned to the teen immediately "of course Mr Turner". Peter stood up and was about to leave when Mr Turner said "you may want your things" he turned around, grabbed his bag and jacket before walking out of the room, following the head teacher in silence. Peter was wondering what was wrong, was he in trouble?? Did he do something wrong?? What was so important that it caught the attention on the head teacher?! After a few minutes of walking - not a single word spoken - they reached the head's office; they entered and closed the door. Inside the room, two people were sat on he sofa, a male and female; the woman was in police uniform. Now Peter knew something was seriously wrong. "Mr Parker, this is officer Nancy Carter and Thomas Smith, they're here to talk to you" Mr Turner explained with a small smile; the teen nodded in confusion. The woman, officer Nancy Carter, spoke up "why don't you take a seat Peter?? Don't worry, you're not in any trouble" she tried to reassure; the kid did as told and sat in a seat that Mr Turner had pulled out from his desk for him "thanks". Thomas Smith began to speak "Peter...I'm from the child services" the boys eyes widened "child services?!" the man nodded "I'm afraid I bring bad news" Peter listened closely in worry as he spoke "there's...been an accident...your Aunt, May Parker" the teen's eyes widened once again in pure worry and fear; his Aunt May was in trouble?!. Thomas continued "....at 10:15 this morning...your Aunt was hit by a drunk driver" Peter couldn't believe it!! He didn't know how to respond or speak "Peter...do you understand what I'm saying??" the man asked; Peter finally spoke "wha...is...is she okay?! Where is she?!" he needed to get to her, see her, make sure she was okay. The two officers shared a look before the woman stepped in "I'm sorry Peter...your Aunt...she...she died on impact" Nancy carefully explained "right now, she's at New York hospital being checked over by doctors so that they can use what happened to her in the case".

Peter couldn't breathe. He couldn't think or speak; he felt so numb. But he knew what he needed to do; he needed to be with his Aunt. Clutching his bag, the kid stood up and shot for the door, not bothering to answer the yells that his teacher and the two officers sent him; he kept running as he zoomed down the hallways, out of the building and into the streets of New York. Peter didn't fault or slow down his pace as he sped down the alley ways and streets that he knew would take him to the hospital the fastest. Within twenty minutes, the teen found himself outside of the hospital; he finally slowed down as he approached the door. Entering the building, Peter made his way over to the front desk, the woman there smiled and asked "hi, how can I help you today??" the teen calmed down his breathing before speaking "I want to see my Aunt, May Parker". The woman's smile dropped "you're her nephew, Peter??" she asked earning a nod; his Aunt had worked at the hospital as a nurse so people knew her there. "Okay...one second" she picked up the phone and called someone, telling the person on the other side "her Nephew is here and wants to see her....okay....thanks" and she hung up before turning to the kid again "you can see her as soon as their done checking her, she's in room 102, so just sit outside the door and the doctors will tell you when you can go in" she explained "and I'm really sorry for your loss Peter, May was an amazing woman" the teen nodded "yeah...she was" and then he turned to find the room. It didn't take long for Peter to find the room, the blinds on the window was closed and the door was shut; he took a seat on one of the chairs, resting his elbows on his knees and his head in his hands. Non of this was right, his Aunt May should be alive, she should be living, going to work, getting involved with her crazy yoga classes, cooking food that he needed to pretend to like.....she was meant to be with him. She couldn't be dead, she couldn't!! After ten minutes, the door opened and two doctors and a nurse exited, one of them walked over to the teen "you can go in now....I'm sorry for your loss" and then he walked off; Peter hesitantly stood up and walked over to the door. He lowered his head as he entered and turned to close the door, whilst facing the now shut door, he lifted his head and slowly turned, scared of what he was going to see. Peter choked on a sob at the sight, Aunt May was lay on the bed, a white sheet covering her body up to her chest; from what he could see, she was covered in bruises, cuts, blood and dirt. Seeing this made it all too real or the boy.
