《Chapter 18》

~Jin~

Pain.

It's almost like that's all I know now, I'm constantly in the presence of pain.

Namjoon is the only thing that's ever made me feel truly happy, but I feel like it's my time to go, Namjoon can move on, he doesn't need a burden like me..

Then I hear the faint beep of the heart monitor, and a cold breeze. I can't move, and I can't see my eyes are too heavy to open, but I can hear and feel.

I suddenly hear sobs, "Doctor, please tell me he'll be okay, please.. please.." I know this voice, it's Namjoon.. he's crying? 

"Sir, I'm sorry but his chances aren't looking too well.. he's.. slowly drifting.."

That's when I hear the sobs grow louder, "Please give me a moment with him.." I then hear a door close, and footsteps getting louder as they come towards me.

I feel a warm hand on mine and a sudden droplet of water on it, he's crying so hard..

"Jinnie... baby.." He pauses for awhile before continuing, "I.. I've finally found the one, and it's you. You make me truly happy and I haven't been happy in so long.. I.. I don't think I c-can go on w-without y-you.." I then feel a light peck on my lips. "I need you... I love you.." He seems to be still speaking a little after but it's slowly fading, becoming more and more muffled.

No, no, no! I can't leave.. no..

Beep..

Beeeeep..

Beeeeeeeeep..

"NO! JIN.. BABY..!!"

I'm fighting Joonie, I am.

Beeeeeeeeep..

Beeeeep..

Beep..

I suddenly flutter my eyes open slowly to see Namjoon still holding my hand and his head down sobbing into the hospital bed next to my hand.

It's difficult, and I feel like I couldn't, but I gather all my strength to say it,

"I love you too.."

I feel the figure holding my hand freeze on the spot, and he slowly looks up at me. It looks like he's been crying for a while, but his face lightens up as soon as he sees me awake.

"BABY YOU'RE ALIVE?!" He then leans down and kisses me softly, "I thought you left me.."

I just hum a response, I don't have enough strength to do anything else. So I then drift off into slumber.

I see his eyes flutter shut again, what's going on?

I then hear a door open and look up to see the doctor, "It's really a miracle.. he's alive, but he's really weak. Let him rest, I guess whatever you did made him fight so hard it took all his strength." He let's out a light chuckle at the end.

"Okay.. can I sleep here with him?"

"Oh of course, it just might be awhile before he can fully recover.. He lost a lot of blood, and he has a severe concussion."

"I don't care how long it takes, as long as he's okay. I can't live without him."
