"Turns out it was mostly a lie. But, atleast for a short while, it was a beautiful one." ~ Someone

Do you remember?

Do you remember Logan.

When you used to kiss each and every

inch of my body.

An artwork of hues,

blending shades of midnight.

A canvas of damned consequence.

Painted in seething rages,

a reckoning,

for each and every mistep I made.

Do you remember?

Do you remember Logan?

What you told me,

while kissing each one better.

You told me you would make them pay.

You never did.

I suppose it became too much for you.

Carrying this little charity case,

stained black and blue.

You must have realised,

one such as me,

magnetized punishment,

through my own blunders.

Comprehending your judgement error,

you ran for the hills.

I guess I can't really blame you.

They drive me half-insane,

these whispers.

Not of others mouths and minds,

but of my own head.

Telling me,

the cutting words are true.

That is my ultimate undoing.

How does one hope to survive,

when their own body isn't on side.

Their mind telling them they aren't

good enough.

Aren't clever enough.

Aren't pretty enough.

Cannot compete,

with all those others,

the ones like her.

The kind of girl,

you would expect,

to be by your side.

I was just collateral,

the single thing.

Standing between you,

and her.
