"There are certain people who come into your life, and leave a mark. I'm talking about the ones who, for whatever reason, are as much apart of you as your own soul. Their place in your heart is tender; a bruise of longing, a pulse of unfinished business. Just hearing their names pushes and pulls at you in a hundred ways, and when you try to define those hundred ways, describe them even to yourself, words are useless. If you had a lifetime to talk, there would still be things left unsaid." ~ Sarah Zarr
They met in december.
As the weather changed,
And the sun graced the sky once again.
They found eachother.
Quietly.
With no great storm of clarity,
Or foreshadowing of what was to come.
A simple glance.
That started everything.
He saw her.
Across the room,
sitting by the window.
Lost in her own world,
between the pages of a book.
She glanced up.
And saw him.
Watching her.
And it's for that reason,
I think.
That what occured,
unfolded the way it did.
Poor darling,
She never saw it coming.
Until it was to late.
