Chapter 3- Legacy??

MIKA'S POV

So early Monday morning by 8am,I get up to prepare for the meeting with Amret and Stephanie. James' wife Anna brings me breakfast in bed.
"Wakey wakey Prince" She says..
I burst out laughing and receive the tray of coffee,juice and fruits from her and take a bite from the toast saying,
"Anna you spoil me too much " I say
"I missed caring for you these past years Mika" she says and ruffles my hair.
"When I get married,am taking you with me" I say
She laughs and tells me to hurry and get dressed for my meeting.
When am still dressing up,I hear a knock on the door,
"Come in!" I shout
Stephanie walks in all dressed up,
"Are you ready?' She asks
"Not yet ,I'll meet you there" I tell her
"Oh! I was hoping we could go together " she says
"If you're worried about me not showing up,don't be" I reply
"I uhhh...fine ,see you there" she replies and walks out
I finish dressing and get my car keys and head out towards the monster structure that houses Khan Group of Companies.
I feel a certain way about this meeting,ominous,like something big is going to happen.
I reach and head to parking and get out I get the elevator and head to the 4th floor,that's where Amret's office is.
I pass the secretary and head to his office and find him arguing with Stephanie. The last thing I hear Amret saying is,
"You have to tell him,how much longer!" And Stephanie saying,
"Not now,abit later "she says
I clear my voice and they turn towards me and straighten up. Amret gets up and offers me a seat next to Steph.
"welcome,let's get straight to business" Amret says. Steph looks nervous.
"You do know that you inherit the Storm Family business when you turn 21,don't you?" Amret says
"Yeah,but my birthday is a week from today ,why?" I ask
" Your father left you some stipulations before you took over the business" he says
I look around perplexed,
"What stipulations?" I ask
Amret gets up and puts a DVD in the player and presses play,my father's image pops up on the screen,he is in his home office,he starts saying,

"Mika son, I love you very much and by the time you get this,I will probably be gone. As you turn 21,you will inherit all the Storm family business and I fear it is alot of responsibility. It may become overwhelming and I can't lie back and watch everything our family has worked for go to waste. This is why I appointed Amret your legal guardian and since he is your future business partner,why not combine the Storm and Khan business empires? This requires you to be legally married to Amret. You should marry him inorder to secure my legacy or everything goes to the state. Choose wisely son,I believe I have chosen the right person."

I stand up looking shocked and stupefied.
"You guys planned this right? " I shout
"No Mika, your father ...." Steph tries to say
"Shut up Stephanie,you probably realized you weren't getting a bigger share,so you put him up to this!!" I say back
"Mika,I... It wasn't like that,I tried to stop him" She says looking very shaken by my outburst
"Mika !" Amret shouts
"No,don't you dare Amret,you wanted in on the Storm Business and what better way to get it!" I shout back
By now,Stephanie is looking scared because Amret and I seem close to coming to blows.
He goes to Steph and hands her a glass of water and walks her out saying,
"I'll handle this" he says
She nods,grabs her bag and goes out.
I glare at Amret as he shuts the door.
"Have a seat Mika!" He says
I huff and sit down
"First of all,all this was your father's decision, Stephanie tried to stop him in vain,he wouldn't listen. Now,what is at stake is your entire father's legacy,he worked too hard. Should you decide not to to fulfill his stipulations is up to you. He also did this to prevent you from falling into the traps of fortune hunters. You will be extremely wealthy."
"Right,someone like you would be suitable ?" I ask
"Frankly yes,my personal fortune is thrice Storm's plus the Khan empire makes me very rich" he replies
"Ofcourse you made the Forbes list,Amret khan couldn't miss" I say
"Back to business,take time and decide,Wednesday I need your reply " Amret says
"But that's a day and a half from now!" I exclaim
"I know but don't forget we are high profile and subject to paparazzi,I don't want such information leaking out" he replies
"Fine I'll sleep on it" I reply
As I am getting up, Amret comes close to me,
"Won't you give me a hug?" He asks
I look up startled
"What ? Why?" I ask
"Because "he replies
"I don't think so" I reply moving towards the door
As I am going,he pulls me into his arms and hugs me tight. I melt into him for abit tightly hugging his waist and then he lets me go. I head to the elevator flustered and head to the packing lot.
I jump into my car and drive to the nearest restaurant.
I order some food and go to lisettes place. We get popcorn and watch movies and series. Especially black-ish and Vikings....we watched some librarians too. We marathoned till morning. We ended with Jumanji. What a night!!
