Chapter 4- Decisions

MIKA'S POV

In the morning,I wake up,and check my phone,its 10am already. I find missed calls from Stephanie. I call her back,
"Mika, you didn't return home" she says
"Look Steph,am fine,am old enough" I reply
"Okay,goodbye Mika" she replies
I head downstairs to lisette and we sit down for breakfast.
"Harry is coming over,so what is going on?" She asks
"Why do you think something is up?" I deflect
"You have this silly lost look on your face" she replies
I laugh and tell her,"let's talk about it later,where are we headed to?
"I thought we could go check out the new museum display,have lunch,do some shopping" she replies
"Basically a chic day out" I reply
"Oh come on,your gay side probably loves it" she laughs
"Maybe" I shrug
A few minutes later,Harry walks in and we head out. We arrive at the museum and find various new displays of artifacts,pottery,paintings and many others. A new mummy exhibit was also out.
"What are the chances of this turning into a scene from "The mummy"?harry asks
"Shut up you!" Lisette says
"I would die" I reply
"There goes Mika,ever dramatic!" They all say
"Am I really dramatic? Amret said so yesterday " I frown

"Speaking of Amret, what was the meeting about?" Harry asks
I sigh and tell them,
"Let's just head out for lunch,tell you there"
We head to a nice little restaurant on the corner of the street. After ordering our food,I reluctantly hand them my phone with the video from my dad.
They watch it open mouthed, I can see the changing looks on their faces from surprise ,confusion,anger and resigned.
"No no no! This can't be true!" Lisette says
I sip my soda and reply,"its true"
"Everything he worked so hard for would go to the state !!! Harry says wide eyed
I nod my head and tell them I have till Wednesday.
"Looking at things positively, you are going to marry Amret freaking Khan,your dream guy" Lisette says and Harry winks
"Who said am going to marry him?" I huff
"Somehow your father knew you wouldn't turn down his legacy because of his stipulations,what I don't get is why he factored Amret into it." Harry says
"Duh ! Because he is a billionaire and my legal guardian " I reply
"There could be more to it Mika" Lisette says
"Really? Like what? Amret is crazy in love with me? He is a play boy for crying out loud!" I say
They shrug and then Lisette asks
"So what's the plan?
"Like I have a choice, am doing it" I say
Lisette squeals and hugs me while Harry pats me on the back.
"Better tell him today,no need to prolong the issue" I say.
After our lunch,we do some shopping and I swear I saw lisette's credit card smoking.
In the evening,I head home and go to my room. I pick up my phone and call Amret,
"Hello,its me" I say
"Good evening Mika " he says in that deep sexy voice
"I....uhmm....am going to do it" I say
"Do what?" Amret asks
"Marry you " I reply
"Marry me? Am marrying you" he laughs
"Whatever,okay am hanging up " I say
"Wait,we have to celebrate our upcoming nuptials,be ready in thirty,am coming for you" he says
"What? Fine" I say
I go into the bathroom and take a quick shower,I dress up in casual pants and grey shirt and head downstairs to wait for him.
I meet steph at the Landing
"I thought you were having dinner at home today" She says tentatively
"Am actually going out with Amret,we are getting married" I reply
Stephanie hugs me quickly and says,
"That's amazing,I can't wait to plan your wedding" she says
"Sure,knock yourself out" I tell her
"Really?" She asks unsure
"Yeah,but not so overboard" I tell her
"Yes,am excited" she says
A knock at the door and Amret walks in looking delicious in tight fitting turtle neck and black pants.
"Hello Stephanie,ready Mika?" He asks
"Yeah let's go" I say
He takes my hand and we leave for dinner I think.
At the restaurant ,as we are going in,we are bombarded by journalists,how could I forget that we were at a high end restaurant frequented by celebrities and the elite. They notice the hand holding and start rapidly taking shots of us while Amret tucks me into his side,I burrow deeper into him blinded by the flashing lights.
We finally make our way into the restaurant and I breathe a sigh of relief.
After ordering our food, Amret says,
"You made the right decision Mika" he says
"I guess,am just resigned " I reply
"Even to being my husband?" He asks
I blush and lower my head but Amret lifts my head laughing
"Shut up!" I say... While a flash goes off.
Yap,tomorrow's news loading.
I actually had fun having dinner with Amret. We had so much to talk about.
After dinner, Amret drives me home in his posh Lamborghini...at the driveway,I quickly undo my seat belt ready to jump out but Amret grabs my hand and pulls my face towards and slants his mouth over mine,his other hand goes to my nape while he slowly kisses me. I kiss him back and wrap a hand around his neck and it gets hot.
Amret pulls back and I look him in the eyes till it gets abit chilly and I get out of the car.
"Goodnight" I say
"Goodnight" Amret replies
