Brielle took her (better yet, Luke's) shirt off the second she got home.

She didn't sleep much.

Her mind had a million thoughts running through it, all conflicting each other. She was angry, upset, and confused all at the same time.

How Luke spoke to her was completely unnecessary - at least she thought. He had no right to talk to her like he did. She didn't care what he had done for her, bringing it back up in her face when he's angry completely cancels that out.

And she was willing to admit that she had been a bit harsh, and she didn't mean to be, but the last thing Brielle needed to do was rush into something with somebody she barely knew, especially after everything she had been through with Tyler. She didn't care how Luke felt about it; he didn't understand.

From what she could gather, he was constantly fucking around with girls. It was nothing to him.

Brielle, on the other hand, took her body and her heart very seriously and tried to protect them as much as she could. They were not something she was willing to give away as easily as Luke was.

Luke was nice. Luke was fun to be around, and also wasn't too bad to look at. She didn't want to admit it but there were times where she found Luke attractive, there were times where certain things Luke would do or say would send butterflies to her stomach - and that terrified her.

She wasn't ready for another relationship, she wasn't even close to being ready. Her heart wasn't mended yet and Luke couldn't seem to get that through his head.

And as much as she hated to admit it, she still thought about Tyler. She knew he was an asshole, she knew he didn't care, but it was very common for her to think about how their relationship used to be. And she hated that she couldn't get it out of her mind.

But, being nineteen and only having given yourself emotionally and physically to one man, it's hard to give any of you to anybody else when you were so used to one person. Even if that person was a terrible person. She felt incredibly dumb for even letting him cross her mind, but it was something that she couldn't help and definitely a big reason as to why she was so upset about the kiss.

All of these thoughts jumbled her mind, causing her to only get a total of four hours of sleep through out the night. She was constantly falling in and out of sleep, and finally accepted that she was not going to be able to get any more once she saw the sun creep out from her bedroom window.

She sat up, resting on her elbow with one arm and reaching over to her nightstand with her other hand to grab her phone.

8:25AM.

2 Missed Calls - Luke

She sighed and put the phone back onto the nightstand before plopping down onto her bed.

She wasn't surprised. It wasn't the first time Luke had gotten angry with her then tried to apologize for it. She was tired of it. He didn't know how to deal with his anger and sorry was not going to be enough anymore.

She didn't want to talk to him. If she did, anything she had to say wouldn't be nice and it was better to avoid that interaction for the time being; possibly forever.

She groggily rose from her bed, getting a glimpse of herself in her wall mirror and immediately regretting it. Her makeup was smudged, her hair was in a nappy bun, and her bra was halfway off from when she angrily ripped off Luke's shirt when she first got home the night before.
