Sandy giggled excitedly when I told her about last night. I sighed. She could be so kiddish at times.
" Everything is finally back to normal " she said.
" Not yet" I whispered, mostly to myself.
" What do you mean? " , confusion etched all over her face.
" Never mind " I said. " By the way, does anyone else know about mine and Caspian's, you know, togetherness? "
" Nah! Nobody goes out mostly these days, and especially, not to the carnival" she replied, kinda taken aback by my weird question.
After Sandy left, I texted Caspian to meet me at my house.
Few minutes later, he was at my door.
" That was fast" I commented.
" Couldn't resist seeing you, baby " he smiled flirtatiously.
" Come in. We need to talk " I led him inside to my room.
" Yeah? Are we going to talk about planning our wedding?"
he flashed me another winning grin." No, we're just 17. Get serious OK? " I asked trying to appear serious, but incredibly failing.
" Oh, I can try. I'm 18 by the way " he said.
I laughed " OK. Back to business. "
" I need you to pretend we are enemies and you haven't recovered yet. " I said.
" What? Why? When? How? Where? " he asked, visibly surprised.
" I need you to befriend Mark and make him confess what he did to Sarah and Sandy. It's a top secret mission. You got it? " I asked.
" Yes, ma'am!" he said saluting me.
I ruffled his hair. " I knew I could count on you. "
