Chapter 6

REY:

I am walking to the dining hall with Rose when she suddenly asks, "Do you think Finn likes me?"

As usual, I reply, "I don't know." Then, to avoid this awkward conversation, I excuse myself to go use the restroom. Once I'm inside I wait about a minute before checking to see if Rose has left yet...she has! I hurry out and end up hurrying right into Poe.

"Is Finn single?"

I sigh, "I really don't know."

"Okay fine...but can you at least tell me if I'm Finn's type?" Begs Poe, "is Finn even...you know?"

"Gay?" I say naming the word he can't seem to form.

"Yeah." Mumbles Poe.

Shrugging, I say, "I honestly do not know. Why don't you ask him?"

Poe just laughs weakly, "Well I guess...I dunno. Wanna walk to the dining hall together?"

I smile, "Sure."

As we walk into the dining hall, Rose looks up at us and smiles wickedly...uh oh.

"Why...why are you looking at me like that?" I ask Rose

Rose's grin becomes even more malevolent as she says, "I didn't know that you and Poe were a thing!"

I choke on my salad, "I'm sorry, what?"

"You and Poe."

"I'm not-we're not...I mean, I- He's gay, Rose." I stammer

Rose's smile diminishes, "He's gay? As in he likes guys like-I mean, your, I- your kidding right?"

I slowly shake my head...Why does she care so much about Poe's sexuality? I mean, it's not like she likes him! She likes Finn for Kriffs sake-Wait...what if she views Poe as her rival? I mean, I don't even know if Finn's gay. Oh kriff...poor Finn. He's an ex stormtrooper! How's he going to react to all of this? I mean, it's not their trained for this in stormtrooper training. I wonder if he's ever even had a crush! Someone should really tell him about all of this...

Someone is tapping on my shoulder. I turn around and see Finn looking really nervous,"Hey Rey...um, I was wondering if we could talk?"
