I stood at the bus stop on a windy Monday morning waiting for my friends, Matt and Edd, to appear, hoping they didn't miss the bus again like they had the previous Friday. My hair was getting fucked up in this wind, and I didn't even want to go to school, fucking ninth grade was hard enough without another bad hair day. It's not like the mass amount of gel and hair spray I poured into it every morning was going to hold forever. I watched cars fly by me on the street and the sky slowly get darker with clouds as my feet remained in place, waiting for my only two friends.
I saw the school bus round the corner down the street and sighed as I pulled my wallet with my bus pass out of my pocket, figuring I probably wouldn't see Edd or Matt get onto this bus. The bus grew closer, roaring down the street seemingly as fast as it could. I heard yelling and shouting on the opposite side of me down the other side of the street. I turned to see Edd dragging Matt down the street as fast as he could.
"Tom!" he shouted my name, pulling Matt by the arm towards me. They were a few yards away when the bus pulled up, barley getting on in time. Edd sat down next to me and Matt behind us.
"Tommy pants," Edd gasped, still out of breath from running full speed to the bus. "I want to set you up with someone I know, like bros are supposed to do." I shook my head.
"First off, don't call me 'Tommy pants' ever again-"
"Point taken."
"Good." I said. "Second, we're in middle school." Matt threw himself half-way over the seat in-between us both.
"So?" Matt laughed "I've been in..." he counted out a number on his fingers before holding them up in front of my face. "Seven since the fourth grade!" I pushed him back into his own seat.
"Okay, but I'm not you, Matt." I hissed, annoyed from them interrupting me. "And Third, who would want to even look at someone with these weird ass black fucking eyes I have?!"
"It's not your fault you have black eyes... I don't think..." Edd started. "Plus, the boy I have in mind- "
"Hold the fuck up-" I spat "It's a boy?!"
