Chapter 5

Aang wanted to somewhere to ride the back of a large fish thing, but he has no clue where it was. I rolled my eyes at that.

Katara was mending Sokka's pants, while I was practicing my bending. I've been working on holding the flame in my hand while increasing and decreasing the size of it. I've gotten pretty good at it, if I do say so myself. Though when it get's to high I tend to lose control of it.

"Kayta, here, finish sewing my pants will you." Sokka said, throwing his pants at me.

I gave him an evil smirk. "Oh sureeeee Sokka, but since I don't have a needle or thread I'll just use fire!"

I created a small flame and went to burn Sokka's pants, but he grabbed them away from me in a flash.

"Uh never mind." He insisted, checking over his pants to make sure I didn't harm them anymore.

"Don't worry Sokka." Aang said. "Where we're going you won't need any pants!"

We approached a crescent shaped island and landed there. We could have covered more distance before stopping for camp though. We told Aang that and his reply was, "But Appa's tired already, aren't you boy?" Appa didn't do anything. "I said, aren't you boy?"

Appa's reply was an over exaggerated yawn.

"Real convincing Appa." I told the flying bison. "You should audition for a play with your skill."

Appa moved his tail in appreciation. Suddenly Aang gasped and point out in the water. "Look!" He shouted at us. A giant Koi fish jumped out of the water. "That's why we're here...elephant Koi. Katara, you've gotta watch me!"

He stripped down and jumped into the water. A second later he jumped back out, "Cold!" He told us.

"Of course it's cold you platypus bear." I rubbed his bald head affectionately.

Aang got back in the water and swam out to ride the large fish. I couldn't care less so I petted Appa during his fun. Appa tried eating my hair so I called Katara over.

"No, Appa! Don't eat that!" She shouted rushing toward us.

"Hurry up K." I told her. "I love my hair, and I don't want it to be eaten."

She rolled her eyes at me and somehow coaxed Appa into not eating it. We heard Sokka screaming in a panic so we rushed back to the shore.

"What's wrong?" We asked.

"Aang's in trouble." Sokka replied. "Aang!"

"Get out of there!" Katara screamed in panic.

We began waving our arms trying to get his attention as we screamed his name. He didn't seem to understand because he just waved at us, like nothing's wrong. His Koi flung him off into the bay, leaving Aang helpless. Behind him a large fin rose into the air, Aang must have noticed it because he became frantic and swam to shore as fast as he could.

He ran straight into Sokka, flinging them both into a tree. Sokka sat there while Aang put his clothes back on. I went to check on Sokka while Katara talks with Aang.

Sokka seemed fine, because he got back up and said, "Well, let's not stick around and find out. Time to hit the road."

Suddenly we are ambushed from the trees. They sacked Momo, pulled Katara's hood over her head, hold back Sokka, and grab Aang. They blindfolded and tied them up as well.

One warrior tried holding me, but I created a flame causing them to jump away.

"I don't want to hurt you." I told the green clad warriors. "Just let go of my family and we'll be on our way."
