[He looks... The worst he's ever been. His skin is sickly pale and he's thinned, and the bags and circles under his eyes are heavy.]

"A few days ago, Eomma came back again..."

[He awkwardly rubs his arms, tugging the sleeve of his shirt down. His knuckles... Are bruised?]

"And... And Appa got drunk when she announced that she was pregnant with a baby, and that she was going to divorce."

"And then... And then she just left."

"And then... Appa just... Took it out on... On me..."

[His voice cracks.]

"It hurts."

"It hurts everywhere."

"Everywhere fucking hurts."

"But at least he got a new job as a nurse! We don't need to struggle too much financially anymore! I've taken up a job as a waiter in a cafe!"

[Despite his cracking voice and the tears welling up, there's a genuine, bright smile of hope there.]
