Your family and your girlfriends family hated each other. Y'all were basically a new age, gay Romeo and Juliet. You honestly didn't care what your parent's or her parent's said and since you were their only child, they really couldn't throw you out or anything.
But once again, your family was trying to sabotage your relationship by trying to hook you up with a potential suitor. They threw a big party, and even allowed your girlfriend to come, which you knew you should've been suspicious about, but you didn't think anything of it.
You honestly were having a good time, and actually forgot that Halsey was there. One of the guys that was around you, leaned in and whispered into your ear making you laugh. And when you looked over to where your girlfriend was, you saw her staring at you, alone with tears in her eyes. You knew you messed up by forgetting about her and quickly went to her, kissing away her frown and wiping away her tears.
