Rose's Pov
Oh... Oh! OHH!
A-Am I dreaming? No... No I'm definitely not. This feels too real... Too different, I don't think even if I was dreaming my brain couldn't come up with this sensation... I-I'm getting myself flustered by thinking about it... His lips are so soft... I can't help but feel like time just stopped.
...
I ran out of air. I need to breathe. Help! A-Ah... Right... I have to pull away...
"U-Um..." I stammered slightly as I looked at him, attempting to make eye contact but I couldn't help but glance at his lips... repeatedly.
"A-ah sorry! That was really sudden! I should've asked," Hawk said, obviously flustered.
"No! It's fine... It's just... well that was... that was nice..." I said, progressively getting more embarrassed and progressively looked at the ground.
"Yeah..." He said kinda breathlessly. We made eye contact for a short while before I decided to talk.
"Pretty much everyone is trying to make sure you don't marry Ellanore at this point," I said with a bit of a chuckle. Hawk sighed as he ran his hand through his hair.
"Yeah... I was really hoping we wouldn't get many people involved but, that clearly failed," He replied.
"Um, so, My grandmother is currently trying to clear things up with Professor Snow White..." I said, attempting to explain what's going on, and, admittedly, trying to distract myself from the kiss.
"Ah, that makes more sense as to why she came over then," He replied.
"Yeah! So the hope is that after this you won't have anything to worry about anymore! Arranged marriage wise," I said, and I couldn't help but smile.
"That's great! ...Thank you, for, everything..." Hawk said, afterward he looked down at me and blushed a bit. I kinda froze a bit before I could process what he meant.
"Everything?" I repeated, a bit confused.
"Yeah... For trying to help me out with getting out of this arranged marriage, staying by my side when I've been difficult, and well... For being you," He said. His last remark made my cheeks heat up and I swear I turned into a ripe tomato.
"A-Ah... Y-You're... Welcome...?" I stammered. Oh geez is it getting hot out here?
"This might be a little sudden... But do you think we could be well... Boyfriend and Girlfriend?" Hawk asked after a moment of silence. My heart skipped a beat and I suddenly got really dizzy.
"O-Ok sure, I mean, I'd like that! Um, I mean uh... yes?" I stammered, attempting to stay on my feet. I swayed a little bit and caught myself by stepping forwards, causing me to be very... close... To Hawk...
"Rose?" He said, I paused before I quickly looked up at him, our faces only a couple inches apart.
"Yeah, Hawk?" I replied as I slowly relaxed, there's just something about him that, even though being with him makes me a bit flustered... at the same time I feel safe and relaxed.
"Can I kiss you again?" He asked. Already?? That was... that was quick, I mean, not that I mind but...
"Okay..." I replied. He gently took his hand and caressed my cheek and leaned down a bit and kissed me softly. After what felt like forever he pulled away.
"It's a bit of a bummer that in the end what I tried coming up with both ShaSha and Ellanore didn't end up working," Hawk said as he looked at me in a way that he never has before, which actually made me feel a bit hot... again.
"It really is, but things seem to be going pretty well, I mean, your grandmother actually admitted that Troy and I had a point! Which is progress," I said excitedly. Hawk nodded with a gently smile when suddenly we heard shouting in the distance.
"OKAY FINE! SHEESH" Is that... Troy?
"What the... Isn't that your brother?" Hawk asked. I looked around a bit to see him talking with Gwen and gardenia... Since when were they here?
"yeah, it is... What are they... Let's go check it out!" I said excitedly as I pulled him with me and we hid in some bushes to watch them
"So then what are you waiting for? Ask ShaSha to make your relationship official!" Gwen said.
"Well isn't that a bit soon? We've only been on one date and heck, we only met a couple months ago and she JUST got out of an arranged marriage that's just... I want to be able to get to know her without the awkward feeling that we're supposed to be all... I dunno, romantic," Troy said
"Dude what?" Hawk and I mumbled in unison, after a slight pause we looked over at each other in amusement, and shock.
"Since when did they go on a date..." Hawk whispered.
"Since when did he have a crush?" I whispered as well, in complete disbelief.
"You really are a gentleman aren't you... Very well then, But you have to try and get to know ShaSha, but, if you kiss, you're asking her to marry you," Gardenia said.
"WHAT?! NO!" Troy shouted, obviously annoyed and clearly flustered.
Gardenia and Gwen pestered him persistently, progressively annoying me even more before I just stood up and walked over to them and cleared my throat loudly, causing them to look at me.
"Clearly you're having a very... Serious... dispute, but, You two need to calm the frick down!" I said to the two twins "And that's a lot coming from me!" I said. Honestly, I'm completely done with all of this arranged marriage stuff.
