Both mine and Kai's eyes shoot open at the same time. We stared at each other from opposite sides of the bed.

"Did you feel that?" I whispered to him. I blinked a few times to fully wake up.

"I'm guessing the Bennet witch is here." Kai assumed. He sat up on the bed and I did the same. "Your brother wasn't lying." He says causally but I can hear the joy in his voice.

I can't help the smile that crosses my face, "Do you think we are actually going to get to go home?" I ask him.

He shrugs and gets off of the bed, "Only one way to find out." He grabs the bags that we had packed in case of an emergency and motioned for me to follow him. I quickly got off the bed and followed him into the hallway. "Let's go find the witch."

We exit the house and put our bag in the car in a hurry. Kai gets in the passenger seat and he tells me I should drive since I have a connection to where the people end up.

"Kai," I state trying to get him to change his mind. "You know I don't like driving."

He smiles at me, "And that is why you are going to drive to find the witch." I let out a sigh of defeat knowing he was going to make me drive.

I got in driver's seat and inserted the key and turn on the engine. "Kai, I can't do this." He looks at me and then put the car in drive. "Do you know how many times I died trying to learn how to drive a car?" He shakes his head. "Thirty-four times and I'm still not the best at it."

"Relax, you'll be fine." Kai tells me, "Besides I'm here with you now."

...........

We ended up heading to a small town called Mystic Falls. There we saw the witch, but she was with someone else. A guy with raven hair.

Kai told me that he was a vampire. None of us had much experience with vampires. But in my defense, there was not any in existence when I was in the real world, so I'm just relying on Kai.

It has been four months since we arrived in Mystic Falls and since then we have been messing with them. We have finished the witch, Bonnie's, crossword puzzle and messed with the vampires, Damon's, car.

Right now we are following them into a grocery store. They were in there fighting over stupid things while Kai put in a quarter in a machine and it starts moving capturing the attention of the two people in the store.

The two of them quickly rushed outside. "Hmm, you hear that, Damon?" I hear Bonnie in satisfaction. She sounds like she's proved her point and Damon still looks bewildered. "That's what hope sounds like." While they were outside trying to figure out what is going on I go inside and Kai goes to Damon's car.

I walk into the store and find lounge chairs. I quickly grab a bag of Pork Rinds for Kai and take a seat. Not long after he joins me and I offer him the bag. He gladly takes it and starts eating them.

Soon we hear the bell from the door, indicating that someone walked in. We look at each other and smiles. This is going to be fun. I take a chip and eat it as well.

Damon walks over to where we are sitting and stared at us while we eat the chips. "Rough day, huh, Damon? Sorry. Manners. I'm Kai. Nice to meet you. Pork rind?"

Damon just stares at him, weirdly shocked then he looks at me. "Oh, right. I'm Angelyn Mikealson." Damon looks even more shocked at the mention of my last name.

"I'm sorry, did you say Mikealson?" Damon asks.

I look back at Kai, "Could you hear me. I didn't mumble did I?" Kai smiles before shaking his head. "Yes, I said Mikealson. Do you have a problem with that?"

"Well, your family has definitely caused some problems." Damon's answers.

Now it is my turn for the shock to run through my face, "You know my family?" I whisper. Kai continues eating the chips.

"That is gonna have to stop," Damon says clearly getting annoyed as he changes the subject.

"Oh, you think this is annoying? Hmm. Try listening to you and Bonnie bicker every 5 minutes." Kai says and I can't help but nod my head.

"So you've been following us."

"Of course I have. You two are the closest thing I have a to a TV. I mean, you're no 'Baywatch,' but...Remember 'Baywatch'?" Kai explains to the vampire.

"No, I do not." Damon answers.

I see Kai get happy talking about his favorite movie, "Oh. Oh, man, you got to watch it. You like lifeguards, like... Hot ones?"

Damon rolls his eyes before speaking, "This has been a monumentally bad day in a sea of bad days, so I'm gonna need to know who you are, what you're doing here, and how it relates to me, or I'm gonna rip your throat out."

"Temper's gonna get you in trouble, Damon. It's already driven Bonnie away how many times? Oh, oh, oh, wait. I know. 13." I chime in.

"You think my temper's bad with her? I like her. You not so much."  He superspeeds and holds me up by the collar of my shirt.

I hold my hands up in surrender, "Ok. Ok. Sorry. Seriously. I'm just kind of rusty on the face-to-face type human interactions."

I see Kai stand up and start to walk to Damon, "Put her down."

He drops me, "Answers now."

"Maybe you should have a drink. That usually calms you down." I tell him and he turns to look at all of the bottles and looks back at us.

"Thanks." He says as he grabs a bottle and me and Kai try to hold back out smirks.

"Then makes you angry, then sad, then calm again. It's a weird cycle, and look, if you really want to know the reason we're  following you, it's because we want to kill you." Kai explains to the vampire.

Damon has already taken a swig of the bourbon and suddenly coughs it out. His skin around the mouth starts burning. "Vervain in your bourbon. Who didn't see that one coming?" I say.

"Who buys patio furniture from a grocery store? I mean, somebody must. Otherwise, it... it wouldn't be here," He picks up a beach umbrella and breaks its wooden end into two. "But now we are little unfamiliar with vampires, but from what we've gathered, a stake in the heart should do it, right?"

Damon forwards his hand but Kai stabs his hand. "Aah!"

"You can always fight dirty, Damon. Like that time you and Bonnie played monopoly and you stole from the bank. Not cool." I explain to him. Damon manages to free his hand and stands up

"I'm gonna rip your head off," Damon yells at us.

"No. You're not." I and Kai say at the same time. Kai smashes all the bottle on the shelf and the liquid from it burns Damon's skin and he falls to the floor again.

"I didn't know which bottle you'd take, so I vervained them all," I tell Damon. Kai raises his hand to stab Damon.

"Stay away from him."

Kai and I both look up, Bonnie is here. "The useless one is here. Thank God. I've watched you try to do magic for months now. What are you gonna do, fail at me? It's embarrassing. I'm embarrassed for you." Kai says.

Bonnie looks at Damon who looks back at her. She then looks at a candle on a side shelf and it lights up.

Yes, she's got her magic back. Now me and Kai can go home.

"Uh-oh." I hear Kai whisper from beside me.

Bonnie turns to look, of Damon, "Run." He superspeeds out of here. "Phesmatos Incendia." Fire lights up in front of us.

"Ok. Ok. Ok." We say.

"Giving up so soon? I'm embarrassed for you." Bonnie says as I hear Damon behind us but I don't have time to turn around before he hits us both. I look at Kai and we both fall down at the same time before the world goes black.
