NOTE TO RE-READERS -
Please do not spoil the book for others - This Chapter has been vastly changed but the main elements still stay the same. It is not only disrespectful and rude to me to spoil, but disrespectful to those who want to read a better than before book. Please be aware of this when commenting. (Old Comments DO NOT COUNT)
- EDITED AND RECONSTRUCTED -
2 am, Where do I begin?
Crying off my face again
The silent sound of loneliness
Wants to follow me to bed
I am ghost of a girl that I want to be most
I'm a shell of a girl that I used to know
Chapter Two - Encaged
Elena's POV
The first thing that I could hear was the prominent sound of water dripping, echoing off the walls of the cold and lonely cell. The sound was different from the room back at the old place I used to stay, so I was not 'home'. I guess after a long period of time the sound would drive those mad, insane. The second thing I noticed was the groans of people who must be in cells close by, their sounds unsettling, and sending a cold shiver down to my core. The smell of blood is prominent, the stench makes me screw my nose up in distaste. I try to open my eyes to check my surroundings however, it seems as if they were glued shut, denying access for me to see. I start to panic, fear running down my spine within seconds, although disappearing after a few attempts to open my eyes. I reminded myself of the phrase I told myself almost every day.
