American glory

Faded before me

Now I'm feeling hopeless

Ripped up my prom dress

Running through rose thorns

I saw the scoreboard

And ran for my life

And ran for my life

Chapter Seven - Sick

Elena's POV

It was the middle of the night and with the curtains closed I couldn't tell what time it actually was.

It was dark and that's all I knew, because even these block-out curtains let some light in.

I had awoken because of a nightmare, a really scary one at that.

I was running and I couldn't escape the person chasing me. Their hands were wrapped around my throat, my shoulders, my waist and there was nothing I could do to get them off.

I figured the dream was better than the memories so I did not cry over it. It was just a dream and that could not hurt me.

Regardless, I was now awake and not feeling the best. I did not want to wake anyone else with my need to be sick, so I didn't think I should go bother someone.
