There was once a child. A child with an imaginary friend. The two did everything together.

They played dress-up, they played games, they went to the store with each other. They played with the child's friend.

The mother was scared for the child. Sure, a lot of children have imaginary friends.. But her child was close to the imaginary friend. As if it were an actual person.

"It should stay home!" The mother said when her child "brang" the imaginary friend.

"It doesn't want to play with you.." The mother said when her child "played" with the imaginary friend.

She thought it would fade away.

No.

The imaginary friend stayed for years and years. The mother feared for her child.

One day, the child and the imaginary friend were playing a game together. The mother watched.

The child giggled. "Jon!" His squeaky voice yelled. There was a response.

A response only the child could hear.
