Chapter 23

"Never resist a perfect moment"

I looked up at the stars forming patterns with them, I love doing that.

But I was also doing it to get Kai off my mind.

He seem to be all i think about.

It wasn't really helping sadly. I look at his direction and saw him and Mai talking. It looked like they were having a deep conversation.

She suddenly hugged him, he looked startled for a while but then hugged her back. It was the kind of hug that say I missed you.

I smiled at them even though my heart was sinking inside me. I got up and decide to go for a walk away from everything and everyone.

I wasn't even angry maybe a little sad but not angry.

Because before I met Kai and the gang who would have thought little ol me would have actually have a gang.

A lot have changed, all for the best. This maybe one also, them getting back together might be for the best and I'll be happy once he's happy after all I'll be going to college after I graduate I won't forget him, don't know if we'll stay in touch but I'll always be grateful to him for showing me new stuff.

I don't know how far i walked but i couldn't see the bond fire nor the smoke anymore so I'll say pretty far.

Way to go wondering off ally.

I sat in the sand letting the wave wash up on my feet.

It was cold but still felt nice.

After a while i felt someone present behind me so i spin around knocking them off their feet.

"Ouch" Kai said in pain.

"Omg I'm sorry, did I hurt you?" I asked concerned.

"Well you did knock me off my feet and I'm 6"1 tall so what do you think" he said sitting up

"You shouldn't have sneak up on me like that"

"And here I thought I'll come protect you like a knight in shining armor, but instead you knock me off my feet while sitting" he said smiling.

"As i said don't sneak up on me" I said laughing lightly it's kind of pretty funny when you think about it and the way he fell.

"This is a pretty long distance, why did you walk till here?" He asked.

"I didn't realize it, how did you know i was here?"

"Saw when you walked off"

"You did?" I asked because if i remember well he was occupied with Mai.

"I've been trailing you for a while now"

"Yeaa that don't sound stalkerish at all"

"Good to know" he said winking at me which made me laugh.

I stop when i notice him staring at me.

"Why are you staring at me like that?"

"You're just really beautiful when you laugh" he confessed making me blush.

"We should get back" I said getting up only to be pulled back down.

"Nope let's stay for a while" he said holding my hand.

I sat down beside him not pulling my hands away. He begin to rub small circles on them.
After a while I rest my head on his shoulder.

Thinking how perfect this moment is and wishing it could be like this always.
