"C'mon Y/N pick up the pace!" Veronica called out behind her to her younger sister Y/N. Y/N was nine months younger than Veronica, that was something Veronica would always tease her with. Non the less, they ended up in the same grade, which Y/N used to embarrass Veronica but only when needed.

Y/N rolled her eyes following Veronica towards their school, it was the fifth month of school but some people still didn't believe that Y/N was a Lodge.

She wore ripped jeans, flannels, and denim jackets. Nothing that you'd suspect a Lodge for wearing, she claims that dresses and skirts are a bit too breezy for her liking.

Veronica nudged her shoulder, "I'll see you in a bit little sis."

Y/N narrowed her eyes at Veronica tempted to flip her off, but as Veronica walked away for eyes softened at the sight of Jughead Jones.

Despite the Jones and Lodges bad blood, Jughead and Y/N had an unbreakabke friendship. They've only known each other for a short while but that didn't stop them from becoming best friends.

Y/N often envied Veronica for how much a social butterfly she was. Veronica had nearly 7 new friends on her first day, and Y/N had 1, Jughead.

"Y/N Lodge my somewhat favorite person in the world." Jughead murmured before leaning on the locker next to her.

"Pft you know I'm your favorite." Y/N said dramatically flipping her Y/H/C hair.

Jughead pretended to think for awhile before admitting that Y/N was his favorite.

Y/N smirked nodding, "Exactly."

Jughead rolled his eyes looking at you, he opened his mouth to say something before Archie interfered, "Are you guys coming to the game tonight?"

You nodded sighing, "I have no choice considering Veronica is a river vixen now."

Jughead raised an eyebrow, "Aren't you a vixen too?"

Y/N shook her head quickly, "Hell no, you wouldn't catch me in that uniform dead."

Archie chuckled, "It was actually kinda funny, yesterday Betty asked Veronica and I at the same time to go to Homecoming with her."

Jughead smirked, "Thats probably because-"

Y/N quickly slammed her hand over Jughead's mouth, "That's probably because the both of you are her best friends, right Jughead?"

Jughead nodded still smirking while Archie was still confused on the matter.

"Uh, right I'll see you guys later then." Archie spoke walking in the opposite direction.

As soon as Archie was out of view, Y/N slapped Jughead's shoulder.

"C'mon Archie's gonna have to know sooner or later Y/N." Jughead confesses corssing his arms.

"Yes he does, but that's Betty's job and not ours." Y/N argued pulling Jughead to their next class.

"I'll never understand football." Y/N said watching as Reggie tackled another player on the opposite team.

Jughead sighed chuckling, "Isn't it obvious? You shoot the ball in the basket."

"Jug, there isn't a basket." Y/N mumbled muffling a laugh.

"Then what the hell is that?" Jughead asked pointing at the large yellow goal post.

Y/N couldn't help but laugh at the boy, he didn't understand one damn thing about this sport. It was amusing considering Y/N knew a couple of guidelines.

Jughead blushed, "Hey, I'm a star player I have zero idea what your talking about."

Y/N calmed down still letting little giggles slip, Jughead stared at her.

You looked back at him, "What?"

Jughead felt his face heat up as he shook his head, "No it's nothing."

"That's bullshit." Y/N stated moving closer to him.

Jughead mentally slapped himself, he couldn't admit to himself that he had feelings for this girl. He glanced at her again watching as her eyes darted across the field.

"Listen I uh-" Jughead started before the teenagers in the bleachers screamed a touchdown.

It didn't go past Y/N though, "You what Jug?"

Jughead felt like a child in elementary school confessing to his crush, except he was in high school acting like a six year old.

Y/N placed her hand on his shoulder, "Are you alright?"

"Y/N I've been waiting to tell you this for a long time but I really like you, I haven't told you because I thought that you wouldn't feel the same well I mean, your perfect and I just can't imagine you being with someone like me. I'm always alone and I sit in the back of Pop's by myself with burgers as my friends and I know that you probably find that really weird but I love them and I like really like you-"

Y/N cut Jughead off by placing her lips on his, Jughead eyes widened but he slowly shut them and wrapped his arms around Y/N's waist.

You pulled away making eye contact with him, "your cute when you ramble."

Jughead felt himself blush again, he leaned his forehead against yours tightening his grip around your waist.

You felt yourself smile, you also felt the rain.

"Why did this change into a cheeky romantic comedy." Jughead complained looking up at the dark and cloudy sky.

Y/N smiled and laughed leaning against him.

"So are we trying this for real?" Jughead questioned Y/N.

"Our relationship?" Y/N said glancing at him once again, he nodded.

"I like the sound of that." Y/N replied taking Jughead's hand.

Jughead couldn't help but smirk at her, he couldn't be happier with the girl he loved.

Veronica followed Y/N into their house quietly shutting the door.

"So I saw you with Jughead earlier." Veronica muttered.

Shit you thought looking at her, "Is there a problem with that..?"

Veronica scoffed, "You know that the serpents and dad have been doing bussiness together! Terrible bussiness Y/N!"

Y/N glared, "Last time I checked this relation ship is only between Jughead and I! Not between Hiram and the serpents Vee!"

Veronica rolled her eyes, "If you were actually apart of this family, you'd stand by us no matter what."

Veronica left the conversation with that and stomped up the stairs.

Y/N felt her stomach drop, what if this relationship wasn't going to work out for her?

But it did, and they couldn't be happier.
