- Jughead typically hated literally every jock and cheerleader with the acception of Archie, Veronica and Betty
"They're just snobby rich kids Arch, they think they're above everyone else when all the can really do is run a mile without getting winded."
- But it was when you came inside to retrieve your water bottle after soccer practice his opinion changed real quick
- He was putting his binder away and couldn't keep his eyes off you
- Sweat was clearly visible on your forehead, your hair (Sticking to your forehead/Pulled into a messy ponytail)
- You'd slam your locker shut and notice his longing stare
- You'd send a friendly smile going back to practice
- After that one interaction, Jughead would go and watching Archie's football practices and Betty and Veronica's vixen project so he'd get to see you
- He didn't notice how advanced you were in sports, probably because he's never hung out with you. But it was clear that you had a talent and it was more than obvious to everyone who knew you.
- There was a time when Archie threw a football and it landed on the soccer field
- You turned around picking it up throwing it back in a perfect spiral landing in the center of the football field
- Archie sent a grateful smile which you returned
- That's when both you and Archie started talking, he complimented you on your form when throwing the football.
"I'm being 100% honest Y/N/N, You could replace Reggie if you really wanted to."
- You happily thanked him and then he introduced you to his friends
"Hey guys, this is Y/N, she's the star player on our girls soccer team."
- Jughead recognized you instantly and nearly passed out
- Veronica and Betty were happy to meet you
"Wait, Y/N that sounds super familiar." Veronica spoke,
You shrugged laughing, "Guess I have one of those names."
- You got to talk to them for a bit before saying goodbye and making you way towards your team for lunch
- Of course, Jughead had a blush on his face because he thought you looked gorgeous in that one moment
- That caused teasing from Veronica, Betty, Kevin, and even Archie
"Juggie likes someoneee!" - Betty
"Damn who would've knew Jughead would like a jock." - Kevin
Veronica just giggled the whole time excited for her friend,
"If I were you Jughead, I'd talk to her quick because every football player is going for her." - Archie
- Archie's comment is what caused Jughead to finally talk to you
- It was before one of your games when he finally spoke to you
"Y/N Y/L/N." He spoke from a distance,
"Jughead Jones." You spoke back tying up your cleat
He was surprised that you knew his name, "You know me?"
You nodded smiling, "Archie, but that doesn't explain how you know me?"
Jughead smirked uncrossing his ams, "Archie, he talks fondly of you."
You stood up from the bleacher looking at him, "I have a game to play in but we can talk after?"
Jughead nodded, "I'll be watching."
- After that game, Jughead took you out to Pop's and you guys grew close.
- Soon Jughead worked up enough confidence to ask you to be his girlfriend
"Will you uhm.. be my girlfriend?"
- You said yes (obviously)
- Archie was actually surprised when Jughead kissed your forehead when leaving for English
"Jughead? What was that?" He asked turning around looking at you as they walked,
"What are you talking about Arch?" Jughead chuckled scratching his neck,
"You just-" Archie stated clearly confused,
"Kissed my girlfriend?" Jughead raised an eyebrow at his moron of a friend,
Archie's jaw hit the floor as his shook Jughead by his shoulders, "You did not!"
Jughead shrugged continuing to walk, "I did."
- You'd always force Jughead to workout with you or atleast help you
"Jughead it's been literally five minutes."
"I don't care I feel like I'm going to die."
- He'd attend all your games with Kevin
- Oh you and Kevin got really close too due to Jughead and Archie
- His eyes wouldn't leave you as you sprinted for the hour and a half
