"I'm sorry detective" I responded as I sat looking at Maria Baez
"Its okay, just don't do it again alright?" She asked
I nodded as I watched my dad come back in. I knew he was going to yell at me after I was kindly talked to by his partner Baez
"Dad" I said and stood up
"Sit back down, Baez leave" dad said and Baez left the room but watched from the outside. He then sat down across from me and sighed "Amy"
"Yes?" I said and looked up at him
"This isn't normal for you, I had to arrest you for skipping school, what has gotten into you?" He asked
"I don't know dad, like I said, I'm sorry I skipped school" I replied
"Listen to Danny" Crystal said
"You didn't have to arrest me you know, I'm just not as perfect as the boys are" I responded simply
"You are the oldest of my kids" dad scolded "you are supposed to be responsible and what do I find? You skipping school to go to the mall with your friends and arguing with Erin"
After that I went home to Frank's house. He was sitting down in his chair and he watched me as I came in, I looked at him but ignored him after taking off my winter boots and my coat. The month was December, the coldest month of the year. Then I went back downstairs and I knew a lecture would come, so I waited.
"Amy" Frank started but then I stopped him by putting my hand up
"I don't need this lecture grandpa, I already got one from dad" I said as I stood up and headed to the door
"Where are you going?" He asked
"Out with some friends, gonna meet up with Uncle Jamie and Eddie" I responded and closed the door behind me
I walked past some creepy houses and stopped feeling like I was being watched, I quickly put my hand on my gun and unholstered it and looked around for the perp, I yelled out for him then heard shots coming right towards me. I dodged them but got pinned down by the throat and I called for backup. When backup came I got lifted up by my uncle who was one of the first responders, he took me aside and held me and didn't let go, like he did with Joe when he died.
"Its okay, I'm here, I won't lose you like I lost Joe" he said to me and kept holding me in the hug
"You won't lose me Uncle Jamie" I said as they brought a stretcher over to us and I was placed on it
Jamie got into the ambulance with me and stayed by my side
