Scarlet

Smells like the nostalgic rust in an antique store.

Sounds like the rustling of fall trees

Feels like a healing paper cut

Tastes like the apple juice that cleans your palette

Looks like the morning dust which is mistaken for sparkles in the sky

Blue

the color to simplify water

the sky

associated with sadness

the sound of a broken heart

of crashing waves

the crackling of ice when it meets water

Tulip Festival's rainbow snowcones

a popsicle beginning to melt

my Crest toothpaste

the cold touch of metal

my face going numb from the cold

tracing shapes on the frosted window

blue can raise you or drown you
