(Ray POV)
Whoa…I almost kissed her. I froze, though. Dang. Why she gotta be so cute? I followed her to homeroom and sat in my seat. Trey walked in with Tyler.
“What it do?” Ty asks.
“Not much.” I replied.
“Where’s our teacher?” Trey asks.
We shrug.
Rina and Sara walk in.
“Ray, we need to talk.” Sara says.
I kick my feet up in the desk across from me. “What?” I asked.
“You’ve changed. What’s up?” Rina asks.
“I’ve realized the greater things in life.” I said.
“What?” Sara asks.
I roll my eyes. “We not friends no more. I’ve matured, y’all haven’t. Sorry.” I shrug.
They exchange looks, then walk to the back.
“Nice.” Trey laughs, giving me dap.
“Just being real.” I said.
Our teacher never showed up, so we all just chilled out. I waited for Domi after class.
“Want me to walk you French?” I asked her.
She smiled. “Sure.” She says.
Ty walked past, smiling at Domi.
“Don’t start, Ty.” Domi laughs.
“I ain’t even say nothing. See you in class.” Ty says, finger-waving.
Trey laughs and follows her. “See you in class, Ray.”
I take Domi’s books and walk side-by-side with her to French. “Can you teach me French sometime?” I asked.
“Depends. How long is your attention-span?” Domi asks, taking her books back.
“Pretty long…especially when I’m with you.” I said, with a wink.
She blushed and looked down. “Maybe.” She says.
“A’ight. We’ll talk.” I said.
She laughs. “Okay.”
We hug and I head to class.
(Trey POV)
I walk into Biology and took my seat. Syd walked in, fixing her shirt.
“Syd.” I caught her arm as she walked past.
She looked at me and took a step back towards me. “Yes?”
I sighed. “You’ve been ignoring since we fought. Can we just make up now?” I asked.
“I dunno. Are you going to be nice to Nique?” Syd asks.
“Yes. Actually, I apologized and we’re cool now.” I said.
“Really?”
I nod.
“Aww, Trey.” She says, giving me a hug.
I laugh and hug her back. “I missed you.”
“I missed you too.” She says, then gave me a soft kiss on the lip. “I love you.”
“I love you more.” I said, against her lips.
Dang…I swear I love this girl with my whole heart.
