(Author POV)
The rest of the school week passes with no problems…until Friday. Of course Tyler is upset about not going the Ball, but she gets over it. Now, it’s Friday and….Houston, We Have A Problem….
(Ty POV)
I walked down the hall on this lovely Friday morning. I’m not sure why I’m so happy, but…I am. I looked up from my phone and saw my boyfriend, Ace. He was leaning in his locker, on his phone. I stopped walking as I saw Rina walk up. I hate that bxtch, like for real. I watched them talk, then hug, then…kiss. Uh…Huston, I think we have a problem. It wasn’t just a peck, it was a full blown kiss. Like…with so much passion put behind it. I was so hurt. But, I’m not one to let people see me down, my anger took over.
“Ace!” I yell.
They break apart. Ace’s eyes go big.
“Ty?” He says.
I cross my arms. “If you was gon’ cheat on me, you could’ve at least not done it with someone I hate.” I say.
Rina crossed her arms, rolling her eyes. “Spare us the whole upset-girlfriend act, please.” She says.
“Bxtch, was I talking to you?” I asked. “I didn’t think so.” I answer, not waiting for a reply.
“We can settle this now, then, hxe.” Rina says, stepping to me.
I laughed. “Bxtch, please. I don’t fight over boys. You want him? Keep him.” I said, then walk off. I was so heated, I could melt the North Pole. I got to my locker and sat on the floor, thinking. I texted Nique…she needed to know this. This shxt was cray.
“Aye…”
I looked up. “Oh, hey Shameik.”
He sits next to me. “You okay?”
“Not sure. How would you feel if you saw your boyfriend kissing on the girl you hate with your whole heart?” I asked.
“Damn…Ace cheated on you? With who?” He asks.
“Rina…Rina Bloom.” I said, rolling my eyes.
“That’s one hell of a downgrade.” Shameik says.
I laughed. “I know.”
“Well…I’m sorry. In my opinion, Ace wasn’t all that. Football players tend to usually break their girl’s heart.” Shameik says.
“How do you know he broke my heart? I’m not sad.” I said.
“It’ll hit you later, once all that anger fades.” He says.
I looked down. “Yeah, I guess.”
We were quiet. But…the silence was comforting. Shameik was one of my good friends, he was cool people. Plus, we were partners for Mrs. G’s stupid English project.
“Tyler…”
I look at him. “Yeah?”
“Whenever you get over this whole situation….can…can I take you out sometime?”
I smiled. “Yeah. But…I’m already over it.”
“You sure?” He asks.
“Positive.” I nod.
He laughed a little. “Okay. When can I take you out?”
“Tomorrow?” I asked.
“It’s a date. Around 7?”
