Kopa's pov
Vitani had been acting different. Was it the new responsibility? I don't think so. Because if it was, why would she have headed to Rafiki's tree this morning? I was gonna ask her when she got back. Even if she doesn't want to tell me, she has to. I can't focus like this.

Vitani's pov
I returned to pride rock. It was true. My suspicions were right. I was gonna think about how I was going to tell Kopa in the cave, but he blocked my way. 'Vitani, we need to talk.' He said. I pointed with my head towards the empty cave, to talk there. He nodded, and we walked in together. We sat down at the end, looking at each other. 'So, what is it?' I asked him. 'I was about to ask you the same. What has been bothering you? Are you okay?' He asked me, looking into my eyes. 'Well, you remember that one night we took it a step further?' I started. 'I thought you wanted that..!' He said, with regret in his eyes. 'I did. Very much. But that made one of my biggest wishes come true.' I said. 'The wish to have cubs of our own...' I added, smiling at him. 'But Vitani, to have cubs you first need to...' he now understood; 'oh.' He brought out. 'Yeah...' I looked at him, a little guilty for not telling him sooner. 'But that's awesome!!' He darted through the cave as a young cub. I laughed. He then walked towards me, and nuzzled me. 'That's the best surprise I could ever wish for.' He said, before walking towards the exit and looking back if I was following.

Kopa's pov
I couldn't believe it! Vitani is pregnant! We were walking towards my parents to tell them, when Kion came running towards us. 'Kopa! There's a strange smell in Kilio Valley! And... it also smells like lions...' he said. Aina came running up to us. 'It must be the lionesses from my pride!' She said, looking down. 'You think they're getting you to go home?' Kion asked her. 'Actually... I think they're coming to get revenge... I didn't see them after I stayed here for a while, so hadn't had the chance to tell them that I'm staying here. They might think you killed not only Zira, but also me...' I could see guilt in her expression. And so did Kion, because he nuzzled her: 'it's not your fault.' She pulled away. 'Yes it is! I didn't tell them soon enough. I was to late, and you all have to face the consequences of that.' She looked at her paws. 'If you'd see it like that; it's Zira's fault. She started the war, ended up in a river, and decided to return. No way it's your fault.' Vitani replied. Aina was about to say something, when I said: 'I shouldn't argue with her if I was you. She NEVER gives up. You'll always lose from this stubborn beauty.' I nuzzled Vitani. 'That's not true!' She spatted. 'Oh yeah? Who am I still trying to convince she's not evil?' I smirked at her. Vitani didn't know what to say about that, so she tried to change the subject: 'but we have to do something about those lioness!' I sighed, looking at my paws. 'Not that I don't know, but I'll discuss this with my parents and Vitani. I don't want to mess this up...' I said, barely looking up from my paws. 'And you say I'm stubborn?! How many times has everyone told you that you'll be a good king?' Vitani nuzzled me, from down to up, lifting my head. 'Anyways, if you need us, we'll be behind pride rock.' Kion said, walking off. 'Tell mom and dad we're waiting for them here!' I said. Kion slightly turned his head back: 'will do!' They dissapeared
