Hello writers!
This month, we would like you to explore the cliff above. Not literally, of course. But your task is to write a story that leads the reader to a breathtaking cliffhanger.
Try to get comments below your story falling in the category of "you can't stop here!" or "please write on, I can't sleep now!"
You're absolutely free to choose the genre of the story. But surprise us with an end that keeps us on our toes. And because this would be too easy, we ask you to incorporate the following three words in your story:

— maximum word count: 1200 words
— Only new stories can be accepted — no prewritten ones!
— deadline for submissions: Tuesday, 15th of May, midnight UTC (24.00 h Coordinated Universal Ttime)
— The best stories earn a place in the #JustWriteBits anthology.
— Your story must be in English. We apologise for not having other language capacities.
— Publish your work on your own profile, either as a new story or part of an existing collection of short stories. Only one single chapter, please.
