Your POV

Waking up again, I finally feel well rested, so that was nice. Looking around, despite it not doing anything other than moving my head around I wonder what else is in here. Probably the usual patient room stiff I hear my mother talk about. She'd usually tell me my surroundings which I miss.

Attempting to get up, I feel that there seems to be a needle in my arm, how lovely. I silently cringe, I was never the fan of needles. I have a couple options here, take out the needle and go find someone or.. wait for that someone to come here.

My thoughts were quieted as I heard someone come in, the person started quietly humming... the humming sorta sounded like the nurse from before "M-Miss?" I quietly spoke up. She jumped a little. "Um.. yes?"

"Is.. um my mother, alright?" She nodded slightly, "Yes, she's recovering quite quickly."

I smile, before wondering... Is Shy Guy Alright? I don't want him to be hurt because of me. The nurse seemed to notice my mood change. "Is something the matter dear?"

I nod slightly, "Is there.. um any chance I can see my friend?"

She didn't speak for a bit, which worried me. "F-Friend? Who is this.. friend?"

"Um.. SCP-096? I think that's what is number is, could you help me find him?"

"I'll.. t-talk to my boss." With that, I heard a quickly paced walk run out the direction I'm assuming is the door. I wonder why she was acting so weird?

Oh yeah... SCPs are 'dangerous' Okay, now I understand, but Shy isn't that bad! I'll have to change their minds on
him! Maybe even the rest of the SCPs! I suddenly got a boost of confidence, which was a weird feeling let me tell you that.

A little while later I was snacking on some pretty tasty crackers when the door opened again, scaring me slightly. The person walked in a sat by me, the air around us grew thick, like it was almost hard to breath.

They began talking, in a low voice, sounding male, "You want to meet an SCP?" I nodded slightly, "Y-yes, I want to make sure he's alright... I-if that's alright of course!"

"...SCP-096 correct?" He murmured.

"Y-Yes.. he helped me throughout the breach... if that's any help." The sound of something writing on another thing filled the awkwardly quiet room.

I wonder why he's writing about this, maybe it's a habit these people tend to do. There was a shuffling noise, a small 'I'll be right back.' And then nothing. Silence filled the room once more.

I sat there mindlessly gripping the light blanket and thinking about Shy. There's more of them, he's only 096 so.. how many more are there? How am I going to help Shy? I'm getting anxious I better stop thinking about it..

With that the door clicked open and footsteps entered the room once more, the person seemingly walked over to me, before enthusiastically saying, "I've got you permission to see, SCP-196. With the promise of sending in some guards."

"R-Really?! That's great! W-When can I go?"

"Tomorrow. We're getting things setup, so you'll have to wait until tomorrow." He has an obvious grin on his face despite me not being able to see it.

My smile faltered seeing that I'd still have to wait for tomorrow, but it was still wasn't enough to stop me from smiling like an idiot. I quickly nodded and the doctor seemed to leave the room, probably to leave me to my thoughts or do something important.

Either way, I was very excited, I get to see my new friend after all! A quiet yawn escaped past my lips, my last thought before falling into the abyss known has sleep was, 'I'm coming Shy, I'll see you soon and tell you a proper thank you!"

Mmh, so- hi ._.

I'm sorry for the unbelievably long wait my goodness! My excuse is some weird family drama is going on and plus my laziness and procrastinating self, you just don't get a good mix. ;-;

So here's a new chapter- again I'm sorry, it also may seem rushed, cause it is.. sorry.
