savior

with no warning, my troubles came crashing down into my world,
like a meteorite,
demolishing the universe that i created,
my loved ones left me,
the ones i truly trust to be with me during this time,
they didn't stay.

i had to endure alone.
my tears forming pools around me.
it's best to just let me drown.

until one day,
and one night.

the sun kissed me on my forehead,
and the moon spoke wonders to me.
they both held me together even when i couldn't.
they had so much love for each other,
they were willing to love me the same.

and, instead of saving me,
they stood by my side as i saved myself.
they let me learn a lesson about being my own hero.
writing my own ending,
one that i deserved.
