The glowing moon, full

shines up high

the sky's yet dull

the stars seem shy

there is no glitter

no sun, no song

a young girl, bitter

her beauty long gone

her face stays pale

same as her whole

same as her eyes

same as her soul

The nights, endless

days longer still

her dreams, desires

buried 'neath the hill

its here she was born

its here she has grown

ask around

she breathes unknown

*************************************************************************************************************

Half past midnight, she wept

betrayed by her beaux

her heart well kept

's now not her own

The tide rolls in

destroying all

the castles she built

the place where she'd crawl

the house, a morgue

echoes of the dead

a blinding light

amongst the dread

an entity emerged

its halo intact

"why weep, love?

youre nothing but sand

You will wash away

you will be forgotten

You wont get a say

when your corpse is rotten"

 And as she wondered

her sobs faded away

she thought herself foolish

for having led herself astray

Death was certain

But she believed it a myth

A far away concept

that could harm her not one bit

But the hairs on her neck

stood on end

'Cause where she will go

She'll have not one friend

These worldly things

These broken hearts

None of it matters

When from here you depart

As she drifted off

her heart beat balanced

her pain, she felt fade

her life, she felt blessed
