Tala met the guests as they stepped off the stairs on the main floor. "I'll take you to the table, since Zane had Pack work to deal with." It was his turn to be the one on call.

Fast Paws nodded, "Something about rogues and loners?"

Tala nodded, "We have a few loners that are in or near our territory. Generally, we have arranged that if they keep watch and let us know of unusual things, we will come and deal with the rogues that come their way."

Kat sighed, "Yup, Zane is on call so I can take care of the Second's duties." She watched him race out of the room as did several others. One collected a large bag of breakfast burritos since they were easily carried and eaten on the trail. It wasn't all that long since he'd dealt with Mik and she was slightly worried for him. With another sigh she turned back to the food and kept eating. She was going to need the energy in case she was called for.

Beth didn't say anything though she gave Kat a good hug. She'd be okay and so would Zane though she might end up in their bed for a few days, "I have to admit I'd love to see some of the images of your pups. The new ones are so cute."

Gloria made a slight face, "And they are too cute for our own good. I keep resisting getting a shotgun. There are a few boys and girls at school who are almost paying too much attention. It's hard since I could use the suit but that wouldn't go over well."

Storm snorted and gave Gloria a good kiss, "Silly woman. They can take care of themselves. You know that, but I have to agree. There have been a few I've wanted to growl at." Most of the pups the pack had delivered were very attractive and the older they got the more attractive they became.

Adam grinned as he sat down. "I am so glad my two are mostly under my eye here." Brook had their son Kevin in her arms, as she fed the rambunctious yearling. Both their wolves were fairly certain that he wouldn't be Alpha, which had them sighing in relief. Tala they didn't need to worry about, as ever since Tommy arrived at the packhouse, she had stuck close to him.

They had a thought they might be, which turned out correct, just as Tommy had his twentieth birthday. He had been turned young, so had basically grown up with Tala. As they were fairly sure, they had made sure he had similar responsibilities and training, to make sure they both had the skills. That he was considerate, trustworthy, and they could clearly see how much each cared for the other made all the difference.

Tala and Tommy had sat down with the three and were working to describe some of the things they were asking about. Much of it was basic things. They had helped set up the curriculum and order of learning for the cat's pack. Mostly they were discussing pack structure, and the differences on them.

They were getting stories and the history from the cats, as Fast Paws enjoyed talking about the history. One of Wild Valley's Elders, Frank, had joined them. He was interested in their stories; he shared some of his own of being at MacLaren.

Zane walked into the dining room and after a brief glance at the others he met Adam's eyes, "Problem dealt with, Alpha. I'll have the report on your desk in the morning." He was looking used since it'd been a hard fight even nailing the bastard from seventy meters with his rifle. The rogue was in the cages and the loner family had survived, "The rogue is in the cells and the family in medical. Several of my wolves were hurt but are doing decently. If you'll excuse me."

He limped out of the dining area and headed to medical after getting a hug. He reported to Adam before worrying about his injuries, since they weren't bad. It had been a complete mess since the rogue had a mate who was insane herself and both had done what they could to take out anyone who was there.
