Chapter 17
Katie's POV:
"Katie, there's a reason why we let you live....You're... You're blood is going to be the end of us vampires...." Angelica said nervously.
I did something that shocked them all... I burst out laughing. I know it was kind of rude, but me? My blood, being the end of vampires? Yea right I bet they're just messing with me.
"Good one I" I said after my laughing fit, I just smiled at them, but they all looked at me shocked, and serious. I couldn't help but frown.
Angelica sighed, "Katie please sit." she commanded in a kind tone, I was confused, so I looked behind myself and standing there was a small chair that looked comfy, so I sat down, while Lucas just stood there staring at me, waiting for something to happen.
'Um... you can stop staring now.' I thought, I saw him shake his head and look at his mother.
"Katie I know this will be hard to believe, so we'll start in the beginning." Raphael said nodding to his wife.
"In the beginning of time, when your God and our Goddess created us, we all lived in harmony. Yes, in those times we use to hunt humans, werewolves use to hunt us, and the food chain goes on and on. After a few centuries the vampires found out that animals' blood were sweeter and taster than human, but it didn't give us strength like human blood did, but that wasn't a big of a problem for us.
"During, those centuries where vampires hunted animals instead of humans, a human was created. She wasn't like all the other humans. She was tall and slender, her exotic beauty would make any man want her, and her kindness was infectious.
"One day she went to go for a walk into the forest, she walked for hours and hours admiring the beauty of it until she got to a meadow. She decided to rest, and so she sat there resting. Even though most of us vampires didn't want human blood, some just drank it so they would stay stronger and live much longer.
"The vampire saw the beauty, and decided that she would be his meal of the day. And so he got a hold on her and bit her, sucking her blood. However, after a few drops of her blood entered his mouth and went down into his body, he felt his insides burn and pure agony took over his body, he threw her away from him. Luckily, for her he didn't take enough blood to kill her, but weaken her. She was as shocked as the vampire, because for one she's heard of one but has never seen him, and she's never heard of a vampire in pain from drinking blood.
"Within a few minutes, the vampire died. After that, word got out that there was a human that could kill a vampire, with her blood. So the royals decided to meet the human, we didn't want to kill her, on the contraire, we wanted her to live. Through out the years she got married and had children, they all lived together with lived with either of the royal vampires, werewolves or witches, we ended calling them the Pure Blooded.
"But of course, some vampires didn't want the Pure Blooded do exist, the Diablo's, so they tried killing them, and they succeed since they caught most of us by surprise. However, they didn't know that one of the Pure Blooded still lived, but was somewhere around the world. So the Diablo's, threw the centuries ruled the black side of our world, even though we've tried getting rid of them, but as you can guess it isn't an easy job." Angelica explained.
I couldn't help but feel stunned, I couldn't really think of anything. But there was one question that popped into my head - what does this have to do with me?
For some reason I sort of knew the answer, but I just didn't want to believe that maybe I might be one of the Pure Blooded....
"Katie, that human, that the Diablo's didn't know lived, you're his great great great granddaughter. The blood that runs throw your veins can kill any vampire that would dare bite you, but you're still human, which means you can die easily. We need you to live because if they're able to find you and kidnap you they'll have a tool to kill other vampires. That's why I didn't let Luke kill you, and that's why now there will be people around where you live and following you so you're safe." Angelica finished explaining.
Both Angelica and Raphael, were looking at me carefully, as if they were waiting for a reaction out of me. I just sat there frozen, staring at then, you might say I was in shock, but to be honest I felt like my brain was having an overload of information.
I looked at them both and then at Lucas, "Is this true?" I asked him, well more to my self then to him. He gave me a small smile and nodded.
I sighed, "Well, if I'd known that my family history was this interesting then I wouldn't of hated my family this much." I honestly said, giving them a warm smile, reassuring them hat I wasn't going to throw a tantrum and call them liars.
I heard Lucas chuckle, while the Queen and King sighed in relief, "So you believe us?" Raphael asked, I just smiled and nodded.
Raphael cleared his throat, "Well then Lucas, tell the others and make sure you give Katie a few Marshal Arts lessons."
"Yes, father." he said, giving me a dazzling smile, with that I got up and we made our way out the huge room and towards, what looked like a game room. It had a lot of been bags, a huge sofa, a huge flat screen TV that was against the wall, and an Xbox, Wii and Play station 4.
The room was cozy, the walls were a soft green color and the carpets were a cream color. I couldn't help but fall onto the sofa, face first. I heard Lucas Laugh.
"Tired already... I see." he said, but for some reason he sounded close, so I lift my head from the sofa, coming face to face with Lucas, we were about an inch apart.
I couldn't help but look into his beautiful green eyes, I was so dazzled, that I didn't notice that he was coming closer and closer to me, I could feel his warm breath against my lips.
I couldn't help but move my eyes to his soft pink lips, the only thing going throw my head was, 'kiss me' and I knew he could hear it, but right now I didn't really care.
I saw him close his eyes and I did the same, I could feel the warmth of his lips getting closer and closer to mine....
