Katie's POV:
"Because, she isn't a Pure Blood..."
It felt as if time froze when she said that. I felt anger being injected into my veins, making my blood boil. How could she? How could she let me go through all this, and in the end I'm not a what they wanted? Why would she do this? I've been nothing but respectful and understanding about them being vampires, and this is what I get!? The only thing I could hear was the pounding of my heart, every beat screamed anger and hatred. I would never forgive them for what they just let me go through.... all for nothing.
"What?" Lucas and I whispered in union, I could hear the disbelief in his tone.
Angelica just stood there, smirking at us as if she's just won something out of this situation. I just couldn't help but look at her with astonishment and disbelief. She was not the woman I thought she was.
A few moments passed, everything was silent even the fighters froze in place when they heard Angelica's words. I suddenly felt Lucas's arm tighten around my waist, making it hard for me to breath; the blade that was against my skin was now, pressed harder against my throat causing me to wince with the stinging pain.
"HOW THE FUCK CAN SHE NOT BE A PURE BLOOD!" Lucas furiously yelled at his mother, I could feel his body go from cold to warm within seconds. If I wasn't in the situation I was in now, I would have found that interesting.
"That's exactly what I said Lucas... She isn't a Pure Blood... This was all a trick." Angelica said, she sounded so cold. I had to close my eyes and take in a deep breath, I had to control my temper or I'd most likely show Angelica how colorful my vocabulary can be.
"What(?!)" I heard Luke say from behind his mother, he sounded as shocked and astonished as very one else in the clearing.
I could feel Lucas's chest rumble with a growl, "DO NOT LIE TO ME! Why in hell would you go through all this trouble to find this stupid human if she wasn't a fucken Pure blood?"
Right then I felt a sharp sting go from one side of my throat to the other; I could feel blood trickling down my throat staining my tank top; I winced in pain. But I couldn't get my self to moan nor grunt in pain, which was not normal. The only time that happened was when.... My eyes immediately flew to Luke, but when our eyes met, he looked shocked... and angry?
"LUCAS!" Raphael's voice boomed from the other side of the clearing, "Let the human go!"
"NO!" Lucas yelled back, "You all are LYING! You would never go through such an extent to save a human, even if it meant getting the leader of The Diablo's.... Your all lying!"
"Mother, Father, just let him kill the girl... She's of no use to us, besides she knows too much already." Philip said walking into the clearing, smirking at the scene.
I heard Angelica sigh, "Look, we'll erase her memory. Let the girl go, she has nothing to do with this-"
Raphael cut her off, "But Philip has a point Angelica. What if she decides to tell a friend? Huh? We can't have people knowing we exist, that would ruin everything our ancestors created with the humans."
I couldn't help but look at Raphael in disbelief, why in hell would I tell anyone about vampires? They would think I was going mad, or worse my parents would drag me to a mental institution if I ever started babbling about vampires.
"Exactly, with her out of the way, life will be much better... And as for you Lucas, kill the girl see if we care." Philip said smugly, while folding his arms across his chest.
