Part 6

"JJ?" Lauren asked softly

"What is it sweetheart." She replied stroking Lauren's hair

"Can I stay with you tonight?"

"Of course you can." JJ said giving the kid another well needed hug

"I'm going to go pack up Lauren's stuff." Reid said standing up from the bench "Do you need anything JJ?" He asked 

"Could you grab my purse and throw away my coffee?" JJ asked

Reid nodded and headed inside. When he arrived at the BAU's floor Emily was laughing with Garcia and Morgan. Reid tried to ignore them as he packed up Lauren's backpack and flung it over his shoulder.

"Reid." Emily said walking away from her friends

Reid rolled his eyes and turned around 

"What can I do? I don't want her to hate me ." 

"You can give her space and time. She will come to you when she's ready but right now she hates you and I don't blame her."

"Did you leave her outside alone?" Emily asked concerned

"No. I left her outside with the person who has been their for her the past 6 months. The person who was kind enough to ride with her in the ambulance even though she had no idea who Lauren was."  Reid said purposely making Emily feel even worse.

"Here you go." Reid said handing JJ and Lauren their things

"Thank you Reid."JJ said standing up. They all walked to the parking lot together.

"Be good sweetheart." Reid said pulling lauren into a hug.

"I will Dad. I love you." Lauren said hugging her dad

"I love you too." Reid said letting go. Lauren and JJ got into the car and drove away.

Reid's phone buzzed in his pocket. He looked down to see Hotch had texted

"We need you. We have a case." It read

Reid met them in the conference room.

"Wheres JJ?" Hotch asked 

"She went home with Lauren." Reid replied 

"Garcia pulled up pictures of the victims on the screen as everyone read through the files.

"Four victims were shot and killed in their homes over the last month. The first two were a week apart but they are starting to get closer together." Garcia said disgusted

"They all had a different colored balloon taped over the gunshot." Rossi said confused 

"Were they able to pull any fingerprints?" Emily asked 

Garcia shook her head. "The worst part is it's all over the news." Garcia said putting on the news for everyone to see "They're calling him the Party Crasher."

"Oh god." Emily said under her breath

"Garcia go do your thing, Prentiss and Reid go to the most recent crime scene, Rossi and Morgan go to the M.E's office. " Hotch said as everyone got up

-Back at JJ's house-

"Will I'm home!" JJ screamed locking the door behind her 

"MOM!" Henry screamed running down the stairs to hug JJ as Will followed

"Hey buddy." 

"You're home early." Will said leaning in for a quick kiss

"Some stuff happened at the office we'll talk later." JJ whispered to will
