"Stacie!!" George shouts from a distance, running and waving towards her.
"Hey." Stacie said, very blandly.
"I was wondering if we could. . ." He said.
"If we could what?" Said Stacie.
"Hang out today?"
"Umm..."
"I am desperately expecting a yes."
"Okay."
"Perfect. 6 p.m. sharp. I'll come to your house."
"My house?"
Umm yeah, if you are okay with it."
"I am alright with it."
"Here's my number. Text me your address when you reach home."

"Oh sweetie I am glad that you came home early today. Your father and I are going out of town for some work and we will be back after the weekend. Please take care of the house."
"But mom!?"
"Sweet heart. I have kept all of the food in the refrigerator and if you still need anything, you can call Aunt Jessica. She will come over whenever you need her."
"Mother!"
(Her mother kisses her)
"Love you. Goodbye."

"Hello Stacie. Good to see you again." Said George.
"Hello. I am pleased to see you." Said Stacie.
(George smiles)
"I have to say. This place gave me the chills."
"Yes. It is the worst place on earth. It's cursed. I feel."
"You live here all by yourself?"
"No. I live with my 'selfish' parents who are currently out of town."

(Stacie and George are talking. George asks Stacie the way to the bathroom)
"But why can't I use the bathroom in your room?" Said George.
"It's just that it is really shabby. You can go to the other bathroom. It is upstairs, adjacent to the lounge."
"Alright. I'll be back."

Stacie's P.O.V.
I was just waiting for George that I heard a scream from upstairs. It was his voice.

The sound of the scream tore through me like a great shard of glass. I felt my eyes widen and pulse quicken, my heart thudding like a rock rattling in a box. At that very moment, I had no clue as to what had happened and what I'd do when I got upstairs, just that I had to go there, fast.
