IFE'S POV

I ran down the stairs into the kitchen opening the fridge I droped two red apples inside my bag, I was late for school I forgot to turn on the alarm last night I ran back up to wake Daniel wishing I could pour water on him but I have only 20 minute left before assembly starts
I hit Daniel with the pillow has he refuse to wake up considering the water idea again
"What do you want from me " Daniel said whining
"Shut up and drive me to school, am late" I said hurriedly searching for his keys
"Can't you drive to school your self"
"Trust me I wish I had a choice "I took his car keys and went down the stairs two at a time with Daniel right behind whining why I had to wake him up
I got to school right in time for assembly, I quickly joined the line and stood behind kemi.
"you are late" Eniola said
"Yh I know, it was a close one"

It has been two weeks since the weekend at my house , surprisingly Jide was starting to grow on me ,him and his friends they are very funny and no dull moment with them especially at the lunch table but the only problem I have at the lunch table is kemi's hard glare,I mean if looks could kill I would have been six feet below and I don't know why she looks at me like she is planning my death.
I hurriedly packed my bags cause Daniel is outside so we can pick our parent from the airport,yeah my parent are coming back today and two weeks without them was not so nice considering who my companion is and I can't say I didn't miss them especially my mum ,I haven't been able to gist her about the new Korean film am watching recently and i can't wait for them to be back.
I was about to open the school door when I bump Into a wall making me drop all my all my books and pen all over the place. I looked up at the wall I bumped into wondering when a wall was place in the hallway only to meet with an apologetic face
"Oh my God, are you okay. Am so sorry I didn't look where I was going" the stranger said
And did I mention he is handsome like very handsome not as handsome as Jide but the guy got his model look
"It okay, I was the one rushing" I said quickly as I started packing my books and pen case together,I quickly got up and dusted off my cloth
"Here this is your pen" the stranger said giving me the pen"oh am Samuel by the way "
"Well nice meeting you samuel,but I really have to go, see you around " i shouted the last part waving at him cause I was already sprinting down the parking lot to my brother's car.
"Why are you breathing like you just ran a marathon" my brother asked immediately I got to the car
"I bumped into someone" I replied buckling my seat belt
"Let go we don't want to keep mum and dad waiting"

"Eniola, wait I need your help "I called after her immediately I saw her going for lunch ,I been looking for her the whole day
" well hello to you too" she said
"Your brother asked me out on a date" I said in a panic voice
"And what was your reply"
"I told him I was going to use the bathroom and ran away "i said breathing unevenly
"Since when" she asked
"Short break"
"Do you like him" she asked the big question
"I don't know " I replied confused
"then this your chance to find out ,you deserve to have fun and it just a date " Eniola said reminding me the possibility of a friendly date
" yes you are right it just a date" I said feeling a little disappointed,it could be a friendly date for all I know
" just have fun" Eniola said "and give him an answer already ,I can imagine how he will feel"
"thanks Eniola" I said as I pulled her into a bone crushing hug.
I took a deep breath as I made my way to the classroom ,I entered the class and was attacked by Jide who started talking as if he was confessing all his sins
"Listen Ife, I understand if you don't trust me yet and am very sorry for asking you too soon I will understand if u want to think about....
"I will go on a date with you" I said softly
" yes I will let you think wait- WHAT ??YOU WILL GO ON A DATE WITH ME " He shouted looking at me with an amused expression
" well I mean if the offer still stands and if you can stop drawing attentions from the onlookers then yes I will go on a date with you" I lost my breath for a moment as I was pulled in a bone crushing hug
"Ca-n't bre-ath" i said hitting his arm lightly
" oh sorry about that " he scratch the back of his neck nervously "i just got carried away with the moment"
"Can we go for lunch now because am starving" I said patting my stomach
"Oh sorry let go and feed that monster" Jide said patting my stomach
I looked at Jide and found him looking at me already and we started laughing as we left the class walking towards the cafeteria.
As soon as we entered the cafeteria I saw it was beans and bread with dodo(fried plantain).I took my tray and pointed it towards the lunch lady silently praying I will the other lunch lady will give a lot of plantain but unfortunately i didn't get enough,I took three slice of bread not like I will eat and headed for our table feeling the loss of my plantain.
"Hi everyone , I said
Eniola answered not looking up from her phone wonder what she is checking but James noticed my state and asked me what wrong
"The lunch lady refuse to give me enough dodo" I answered sadly
"How about we make a deal to get you more plantain" James asked me
"Really can you do that" I asked with a big smile on my face
"I don't really like plantain with beans ,so how about you give me your slice of bread and I will give you my plantain" he asked I wanted to ask who doesn't like beans with plantain but who am I to judge
"You are now official my favorite among the three " I said smiling as if my crush just confesses his feelings for me not that I have any crush but you understand my point
"Hey am your best friend what do you mean he is your favourite" Eniola said whining while shooting James a death glare which James ignored.
"Who is that ,Eniola said looking towards the cafeteria door so I turned and saw it was the guy I bumped into some days ago
" oh I think he is the president grandson that was coming today"James said
"How do you known he is the one and I didn't know the president daughter had a son already our age ,Eniola said which made James rolled his eyes muttering something under his breath
"Because there are two guys behind him who are 6 foot tall,wearing a well ironed black suit with dark glass " James said
We all nod our head thinking deeply about what he said
"So what if there are two guys behind him who are 6 foot tall and they are wearing a well ironed black suit with dark glass"
Eniola asked her voice laced with confusion
James looked at her like he was trying to figure out something before he turned to Jide
"Is she that dumb or she is just pretending to be cause she looks smart,James said in a curious tone
Jide hit him at the back of his head before muttering " looks can be deceiving "
"If you were going to agree why did you hit me" James asked
"You don't get to call my twin dumb am the only one allowed to do that" Jide said
"That rude" Eniola said angrily "and you still haven't answered the question"
James looked like he was going to faint any moment and I wanted to laugh at that moment but I also didn't get his point
"They are his bodyguard" James said with a look of disbelief then I looked at them closely noticing their well tailored black suit with their black sun shades and the way they are looking around the room like they are expecting bomb to drop from somewhere then I looked away from them and saw that guy waving at me and before I had time to process what was happening he was already coming towards our table
"Hi ,can I sit at your table ,Samuel said happily as if he had just won a lottery
" YOU KNOW HIM" Eniola and James said together with a look of disbelief
" I bumped into him at the hall way a few days ago" I said
"And you didn't tell us " Jide said
"Well I didn't know he was the president grandson and I didn't even think I was going to see him again" I said before I remember he was still standing
"You can have your sit" I told him " so Samuel this are my friends Jide, Eniola and James"I said pointing at them " and guys this is Samuel " I said and Eniola and James said hi while Jide looked at Samuel like he just collected his candy
"It nice meeting you guys ,you can call me Sam all my friends do that but I didn't get you name that day in the hall " Samuel said looking at me
"Oh am Ifeoluwa ,Ife for short,I said
" Hassan can I have my food now please" Samuel said while the bodyguard gave him his food almost unwillingly
" and you guys can also have your lunch break now I don't want you towering over me and my new friends"
"But the president_"
"I know what the president said but we are in the lunch room and there is no danger you can just sit at the table across of us" Samuel said almost pleading
One of the guard turned to James and told him to open his mouth which James did without complain,then the guy took a spoonful of Sam's food and put it in James mouth and told him to chew while he pressed something on his phone then he looked at James closely then after 5 min the timer on his phone went off then he and his colleague took the sit opposite of us while looking at us with watchful eyes
"Well sorry about the commotions guys" Sam said
"Why are you with body guards"
"Are u really the president's grandson" James and Eniola asked at the same time
"Well am the president grandson and grandpa is the one who forced me to be with body guards it either that or I will be homed school
" ohhh" Eniola said nodding her head
"Well it nice to meet you too ,I hope we get to hang out more" Eni said while carrying her tray I guessed she is done with lunch , I Also looked down at my plate as I remembered the possibility of having a pop quiz in biology, I looked at my wrist watch and saw I still have extra 20 min to biology I decided to go to the library to do some quick revision.
"I will be In the library guy"i said carrying my plate to the trashcan so I can dispose my left overs
I waved at the guys as I made my way quickly to the library

Hey guys, Yh am still alive and am so sorry for the super late updates ,have been busy with Post UTME ,but the good news is am done with it and have gained admission already so update will be more frequent now
Am not promising anything guys but I will try my best
