For the next day, Merlin and Arthur weren't away from each other for more than 15 minutes. They were always in the same room, always at least arm distance from each other and they constantly threw adorable smirks and smiles at each other. The day of the coronation, Arthur wasn't allowed to see Merlin, he he had to prepare. It irritated Arthur that he couldn't see his brunette prince. He wanted to see Merlin, but he knew that it would break several laws so he sat in the throne room with several subjects, knights and servants along with Merlin's court and jury.

After a while, a priest and a few others entered and prepared. Merlin then entered and everyone looked to watch him, he was wearing a armor suit, a thin layer of chainmail and a long dark blue cloak. His hair had been styled and his skin was extremely clean. The cloak was absolutely beautiful, silver trimming all along the edges and his kingdoms insignia, a dragon with fire surrounding it was jm a beautiful silver trimming. Merlin walked down the isle, the cloak flowing behind him almost exact to a dark blue waterfall cascading around his slender and armored frame. He walked forward and they began the coronation. The priest spoke of the what was to be expected, of the rights and other things. Merlin swore to protect the kingdom with his life and heart, the speaking part of the coronation went on for a few more minutes, then Merlin kneeled down. The priest turned and lifted the golden crown, which was decorated with dark blue and purple jewels and gems, and placed it atop Merlin's dark hair and slender face. Merlin straightened up slightly and everyone began to chant,

"LONG LIVE THE KING! LONG LIVE THE KING!"

Merlin turned around and faced everyone in the room, a grin on his face and the crown on his head. He smiled and turned again, the priest moved so the throne was now available and open, the priest moved his hand and Merlin moved to the throne. Merlin sat down in the throne, the people continued chanting for a little while longer, then the priest took the crown and gave Merlin a different one. It wasn't as colorful and energetic as the main crown, but it was gold and the single small jewels decorated the crown. The crown wasn't as glamorous and attention grabbing but it was still a crown, the crown that Merlin would have to wear on a daily basis.

Merlin pulled the second crown onto his head and sat down again. The priest and several court members herded around Merlin, immediately giving advice and talking to him about military tactics and other things, Merlin sat in his throne and drowned everyone out, thinking of Arthur and what he was going to do about his home in Camelot. After several hours if drowning everyone out, Merlin returned to his chambers, starting to take the armor and other fancy clothing off as he entered. He rested the crown atop a chair, it tilted to the side and caught on a bar like thing sticking out of the top of the chair. Merlin walked over and collapsed onto his bed, then he muttered,

"That is the utmost exhausting thing I've ever done in my life." Arthur chuckled as he entered the chambers and said,

"Are you completely sure about that?" Merlin smirked, his face buried in a thin and comfy pillow,

"Ok.. second most exhausting." Arthur chuckled again and walked over, he then jumped into the bed and wrapped his arms around the new kings waist.
