All the knights looked at Mordred in shock and confusion, Gwaine hissed,

"Why would you want to help us?!" Mordred continued to clean Merlin's wounds, drawing a wince from the barely conscious brunette, he said rather angrily,

"I don't want to help you lot but.. I made a promise to Merlin and I intend on keeping it, even if it costs me my life! You wouldn't understand..." All the knights looked at Mordred, confused. Mordred dumped out the bloody water and stood, he set his jaw as he hiked Merlin's shackled up to their original spot. Mordred looked at Merlin and rested his gloved hand on the injured king in front of him and whispered something, it sounded like an enchantment. Merlin's eyes suddenly shot open and immediately fell on Mordred. Merlin nodded slightly, as if he were thanking the traitorous knight, and Mordred nodded back and vanished from the chambers, the door shutting slightly. The wounds started to bleed again but Merlin wasn't reacting to them like before. Merlin looked up and the knights and said,

"I know you don't like Mordred, many of you don't trust him but this one time, this one time, I need you lot to trust me. Ok?" All the knights nodded and Merlin grimaced against the shackles.

"We'll only have to deal with these uncomfortable settings for a day or so.. alright?" All the knights nodded slightly, and they collapsed to the floor utterly exhausted. No one was wearing their chain mail, they were all wearing casual and dark clothing. Merlin winced against the shackles and muttered something under his breath, a possible enchantment. The shackles suddenly tightened around Merlin's wrists, almost immediately drawing blood. Arthur sat down and watched his brunette sorcerer. After a few minutes, Lancelot said,

"Mordred cast a spell or and enchantment on you and you woke up. What was that?" Merlin looked up and said, wincing slightly,

"Oh, it's a spell that makes it so any injury caused by a certain person doesn't hurt as much as intended. The spell made it so any injuries I receive from Morgona or any of her men feel like nothing more than a slight pinch." All the knight nodded slightly and Merlin pulled himself to his feet, he was standing now with his hands out above his head and to the sides. Merlin grit his teeth as blood started to drip from his wrists, he inhaled sharply through his teeth and mumbled something. Leon suddenly asked,

"Merlin, Mordred said he was going to help escape because of a promise he made you.. What is that about.?" Merlin scoffed weakly and looked in the direction of the chambers door and whispered, just barley heard,

"So he's really going to keep that promise huh? Strange.." The chambers door suddenly opened and Morgona stepped forward, a whip and a small box in her own hands now.

"Emrys, you will tell me everything. I swear you will." Merlin visibly grit his teeth as Morgona openedq the small box and a hissing and a rattling sound filled the chillingly quiet stocks. The knights couldn't see what was in the box but Merlin's face paled significantly, his breathing became ragged and his eyes widened with surprise and horror. Morgona reached into the box, the horrid rattling and hissing coming from her hand now. Morgona moved her hand to behind Merlin's head and pressed the creature to the brunettes neck. Merlin started to scream in utter shock and pain. The brunette screamed in pain, his screams shook the stock prison doors. All the knights couldn't do anything but watch as Merlin screamed and thrashed, his shackles shaking violently. Merlin slammed his eyes shut and yelled, blood began to spill from his lips and drip down his chin. Morgona moved her hand and Merlin gasped weakly, the noise nothing more than a strangled and shaking sound.

Morgona chanted some spells and Merlin continued to shake and thrash in his shackles. Morgona grinned evilly and moved her hands to Merlin's neck again, this time his screams were painful and blood curtling. Merlin grit his teeth and bit his tongue in a failed attempt to silence his screaming and yelling.

After several minutes, Morgona moved her hand and placed the creature, which looked like a snake like creature. Morgona snapped her fingers and several guards appeared. Merlin's face, mainly his chin and lips, were drenched in blood. The guards unshackled Merlin and held his arms behind his back. Morgona snapped her fingers again, the guards dragged him off. Morgona looked at the knights and grinned,

"Say goodbye to your little sorcerer, dear brother." Morgona turned on her heels, then left the stocks. The door slamming loudly and angrily. Arthur looked at the bloodied shackles, the blood that coated the floor where Merlin was, the blondes heart breaking a little more.
