Arthur hugged Merlin's arms to his sides and sighed, buried his head in the brunettes shoulder blades and whispered,

"Merlin, there is nothing you can say or do that will change our minds. You are our friend and we aren't letting you go to your possible death by yourself. So drop it and stop saying it, we aren't going back to Camelot and if we do, we're not going back without you." Merlin was shocked, he couldn't move and all he could do was listen to Arthur's words dug into his mind.

"A-Arthur.. I-" Arthur spun the sorcerer around, grabbed Merlin's upper arms and pulled him forward, locking their lips together and effectively cutting off Merlin. Arthur broke the kiss after a few seconds, leaned down and buried his messy blonde head in Merlin's shoulder.

"Yes Merlin. If we go back to Camelot, we're going back with you." Merlin chuckled lightly and wrapped his arms around the blonde in front of him. Merlin sighed heavily and looked out the window, the sun had fully risen. Arthur looked at Merlin and said, straightening himself up,

"You uh.. you probably need to make preparations for the trip after Morgona. I'll leave you too it." Merlin smiled and leaned down, giving the blonde a quick peak on the lips before rushing off and saying,

"Yes, I have to prepare. Ta ta love!" Arthur blushed violently and quickly scurried off from the room.

Merlin pressed himself against the stone wall once he heard the door shut. He swallowed and sighed raggedly,

"Arthur.. Why can't you do what someone says for once?!" Merlin didn't want Arthur to come on this trip because the brunette was positive, absolutely positive that this was the last trip Merlin would ever go on.

"I'm going to die.. Morgona will not stop until I am dead. God Arthur, why can't you just listen to me for once?!" Merlin gasped suddenly when he heard the door open, he pressed a hand to his mouth, silencing his pained and ragged breathing. Lucias voice suddenly startled Merlin,

"Merlin, are you ok?" Merlin stuck his head out and Lucia saw him. She stepped forward and hugged Merlin, he rested his head on her shoulder and let out a gasping and pained sob.

"Merlin.. it's ok. I swear, nothing will happen on this hunt. I'm coming with you." Merlin looked up at Lucia, she smiled weakly and Merlin straightened up slightly. He reached under his shirt and pulled out the necklace that held the kingdoms seal. He handed the ring to Lucia and whispered,

"No, Lucia. I'm naming you my successor if I do not return." Lucia looked at Merlin, her eyes were starting to water.

"M-Merlin?" Merlin rested his hands on Lucia's shoulders, she had changes clothes so she was now wearing a dark red dress, shoulder less with gloves that entwined around the young girls elbows and slunk down to her hands. Her hair was braided and bouncing over one of her shoulders. Her eyes were wide and filled with surprise and utter shock,

"Merlin.. Are you serious?" Merlin nodded and he leaned down, he gently kissed Lucia on her cheek and whispered,

"I'm sorry Lucia but yes." Merlin spun Lucia around and gently pushed her to the door. He shut it quietly behind her and she looked down at the ring in her hands. She turned it in her hands and looked at the silver ring, the image of the lion carved gently into the ring. Lucia clutched the ring in her hands, then rushed down the hall to the knights 'locker room'. She burst in and rushed over to the Camatin knights, directly to Skylar. She jammed her finger into his bare chest and hissed angrily, the tears were falling numbly.

"Skylar, no matter what happens you are to make sure Merlin comes back!" All the knights, including the Camelot knights looked at Lucia while Skylar asked,

"Calm down M'lady. What's wrong with Merlin?" Lucia held her hand up, the necklace entwined between her fingers. All the knights froze when they saw the ring, including Arthur. Lucia grit her teeth and said,

"Merlin named me his successor! He's positive he'll die on this hunt! Just make sure he comes back!" Lucia stormed from the room, her hair swishing gracefully as she ran.
